Well today is graduation practice for Geoff.. last day he will be at the high school.. i guess it is real, my oldest is all grown up!! .. he graduates Sunday... then off he goes to college and beyond...

such events in our house.. yesterday was Eric and his GF 1 year anniversary:love:.. he took her to Applebee for dinner:hug:...

OOOOO:eek: my kids are growing up!!! :woohoo::sad1: I am feeling sad and happy all at once..:sad1::woohoo:

Good afternoon everyone

Slo Stephanie certainly sounds like a wonderful young lady. You have every right to brag about her and be proud of her. You are so right about remembering students for their personalities and actions rather than their grades, those are the students I remember most.

Geffric I can't believe your kids have grown up too! We don't do graduating at school here in the UK. The only time you graduate is if you go to university and get an hons degree or higher.

Well today is a beautiful day again, and I am stuck inside writing my classes reports. They take so long to do! But never mind I have nearly finished. Then I have my topic planning to do. Our next topic is castles and we are going on a field trip in a few weeks to Warwick Castle which I know my class will enjoy. Pete and I are going to go there on Sunday so I can prepare some questions for my class and things for them to look at and find. Of course seen as we are doing castles I will be using the castle in Germany (whose name I can never spell or say!) that inspired the Disney castles!

I"m so not in the mood to go to work today, but ya gotta do, what ya gotta do :)

Thanks to all that complimented Stephanie:goodvibes
I appreciate all your kind responses!!!!!:grouphug:

Sophie is a happier dog today :dog:
Kevin worked really hard yesterday to make 1/2 of the backyard enclosed for her to roam. Up until now, she always had to be on a leash, and never had any freedom. She was so happy last night, when she could investigate the backyard. Kevin has a little more work to do, and when he's done, I can just let her out the backdoor:thumbsup2 I'm so happy!!!!:woohoo:

geffric -
I understand these happy/sad moments, but on a different level, because my kids are so much younger. I can't even imagine how I will feel when Stephanie graduates from HS and has a steady boyfriend. It seems so long away, but it's really not - she starts middle school next year:eek: A big CONGRADULATIONS to Geoff:cheer2:, and I hope his graduation goes smooth tomorrow :wizard:
**I did find a new package of bologna for Stephanie, but I had PB&J for myself for lunch ;) I haven't been to Aldis in almost 2 weeks, and it's beginning to show. I guess I know where I am going Monday night after work.

Danauk - You should sit outside in your beautiful yard when you do your class reports:)
*Enjoy your trip to the castle tomorrow:) I want to see a castle!!!!

Well, it's time for me to get ready for work, and time for me to wake up the girls - they need to go to work with me this morning.
Have a good day!!!

Well it is another beautiful day here in England. It is 90 degrees at the moment in my garden room and that is with the door wide open and the roof vent wide open. I am looking forward to lighting up the BBQ for dinner!!

SloI bet Sophie will love it when she can run around your yard without being on her lead. My bunnies love being able to go in and out of their hutch when they feel like it when we are at home.

Well I better go, I am trying to sort out my wardrobe today and bring the summer clothes to the front and work out what I need to buy for this summer, hopefully not a lot. I am going to London in a few weeks with the girls from work to see Wicked and go a bit of shopping so I need to figure out what I need to look for then.

Hello everyone! Back from a great trip. And I came home to an acceptance letter to Ringling school of art so it's back to Florida! Now I can start working on becoming a Disney artist :)

Welcome home and congrats on the acceptance.. YEAH:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

when will you have to go back??

How was your trip??

Good afternoon everyone, well today is yet another beautiful day in England. We have just got back from our day out at Warwick Castle which was really good. Some parts of the castle are 1100 years old! They had a few events on, we watched some jousting, they had a falconer flying birds around, and we toured the dungeons! So I thought I would share a few pictures as they probably are as English as you get!

And because I am trying to get into photography I tried a few more artistic shots. I thought this one turned out well (it is from the top of the biggest tower in the castle, you have to walk up 520 steps to get to it!)

Seewhat Congratulations on getting into the college you wanted to. When do you start there?

Well I better go through the rest of the photos I took. I need to sort them out for school as I need to use some of them in my lessons. Plus I need to make some notes so I know what I am going to do with my class when we go to the castle in a few weeks time.

Welcome home and congrats on the acceptance.. YEAH:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

when will you have to go back??

How was your trip??

Thanks! School starts in the fall if I decide to go there. The money is still a bit of an issue but i'm tring to work it out :scared:

The trip was great but it's good to be back home where everyone speaks English and all my electronics plug into the wall :rotfl:

Beautiful pictures Dana! I've always wanted to go to the UK

Evening all,
Well we have been quiet lately!

Just stopping by for a little pixie dust. I spoke to my mum tonight. She has been diagnosed with heart problems and has to have lots of tests over the next few weeks. They think she has a blocked artery and has angina. She and my dad have had to cancel their holiday in a few weeks time as the doctors say she can't fly. She is going to an MRI and CAT scan over the next few weeks and thety think they will have to put something into shunt (I think thats what she said!) in, but that should make her better and then they will be able to rebook their holiday so she can fly.

 DanaUK I am sorry to hear about your Mom

A friend of mine husband has a shunt and he is fine.. watching his diet a bit closer but other than that he is fine.. so hope that all goes well for her. I am sorry she has to go through this.. You too:hug:

:grouphug: Danauk-- You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. FIL had 2 angioplasties in the past with the last one maybe 10 years or so ago with maybe a stent. He was able to go on a Hawaiian vacation with MIL about a week later and rode a bike up a volcano. I don't think that he premission from the doctor on that bike ride. He was able to change his diet and increased his physical activity which helped him a lot before cancer.

Thanks for the PD guys, I am sure my mum will be fine once they sort her out. I am quite surprised it has happened really as she has always been quite healthy. Both her parents died of heart attacks though, so I guess heart issues run in the family. I think I really need to work on a more active lifestyle myself really. Maybe when our new town olympic swimming pool opens at the end of this month I will take up lap swimming again as I like that.
Well better go as I am at work (it is before school, the kids don't arrive for another hour.) It is testing day today so I need to go and prepare the papers.

Good morning guys...
DANA, sorry to hear about your mom's health problems. Thank God she found out about her heart problems while they can still fix them! You should be checked too.
Also I loved the pics of your garden and of the castle. Makes me miss England even more. Wish we were moving there.

Geffric, Sam will not be there July 23. She did graduate but is looking for a job. Not a lot of hiring going on. So she is at home until something comes up. She and Tom leave for Gainesville tomorrow. Tom is off to AZ then Russia Sam will visit friends and go to a wedding. She will pack up her apt and come home in a week or two,

SLO, you are raising a volunteer at a very young age. Congrats. And true, people will remember what she did for others not what she scored...

SEEWHAT, hope you can post some pics of your trip. And I am sure you will come up with a solution to getting money for school. There is money out there you just have to search it out!

Belle, how is your FIL?

No more school. I will have all three kids home for one last day.We won't see Tom until the end of August and Lauren won't see him until Thanksgiving. She is so sad.

Have a great day all

Life has been crazy lately!!!!
My computer has been having many problems, which is why I haven't posted in awhile.
We are trying to finish getting ready for this garage sale, I've been working my normals hours and then having to go back after hours to work, and I need to get our house and yard ready for family dinners next week (the same days of the garage sale:eek: ) Yep...life is busy and crazy :headache:

I got to bed at 11pm last night (the other night I only got 2 hours of sleep, because I went to bed at 2:30, didn't fall asleep until 3:30 and then Kevin had a fire call at 5:30, so I only slept about 2 hours), and took some Tylenol PM's to make sure I slept, and I did sleep - really good. I actually feel more tired this morning than yesterday morning though, because I didn't get enough sleep. Whenever I lose a huge amount of sleep, it always takes me a couple nights to make it up.

After work I worked on garage sale stuff again, and the stuff at home is all organized, priced and ready. Now I need to get the stuff from the storage unit, and get that organized with the stuff at home, and I'll be all set. Kevin is still get ready for the sale. He cleaned out the garage yesterday, and today is cleaning out the shed. I sure hope all this stuff sells {{fingers crossed}}

Tonight is Katie's graduation from preschool - she is so excited!!!!!
I remember, like it was yesterday, when Stephanie graduated - where does the time go:guilty: So we are looking forward to that tonight:goodvibes

Tomorrow I work, and then in the evening, Kevin and I are going out for our anniversary, while the girls spend the night at my inlaws:yay::woohoo: Our anniversary was Wednesday - we've been married 14 years. We are eating at Weber Grill downtown, and I'm really looking forward to it. It's been a long time since we've eatin anywhere really nice, so it'll be a treat!!!:goodvibes

Sunday is going to be busy getting the yard and house ready for our company next week. So much to do, and I need like 3 days to do it. I hope I don't have to go back to my store that day, because that would make getting things done even more challenging:rolleyes:

So, that's my Friday and weekend in a nutshell.

Danauk - I'm sorry to hear about your mom's current medical problems :guilty: I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers  Please keep us updated on how she is doing
**I loved looking at your pictures - I'm to show Stephanie :teeth:

To everyone else - :wave2:

Well, it's time to get Stephanie off to school.
Have a good day everyone!!!

SEEWHAT, hope you can post some pics of your trip. And I am sure you will come up with a solution to getting money for school. There is money out there you just have to search it out!

I'm going to upload some as soon as I can. I just saw Angels and Demons and it was crazy to see all these places I just visited. Pictures really can't do them justice! I'm trying my hardest to find money but I'm also not going to stress myself out over it too much.

That is such great news!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Thank you! And congrats on Katie's graduation!

Katie's graduation last night was really nice, and she was beaming with pride:goodvibes She was also so glad to see her friends, because she hasn't been to the daycare in over a month. I sure hope some of these kids go to her elementary school, because they are a great group of kids!!! Then when we came home we made a fire and ate smores - the kids really wanted to do this!! It was a relaxing end to the day, which is something I needed!!!

Seewhat - Thanks!!!!:goodvibes

I gotta go take the dog out :dog: and get ready for work
Have a great day today!!!!!

HI.. quick driveby..

Today was very busy. I had a scout commissioners meetig to day from 8 am til 12 ish.. then checked on Geoff at the VLSC ( Venture Leader training) and roled played with them.. then onto an Eagle project and to the store for veggies and fruit .. I came home and made brownies, pasta salad, and then chocolate chessecake.. and I stopped by to say hi.. then I need to find a recipe for mac salad and for seven layer salad..
tomorrow I'll clean and wash the kitchen floor.. then it will be time for Geoff's grad party.. we are doing burger and ribs were way too much money for us.. I went to Costco and it was $10 per slab and we needed over 6 slabs.. so I chose burgers and lots of salads and fruit and desserts..
