Morning..:wave2: .. today is wet and soggy but is supposed to be warm.. good thing that the tomatoes I planted will be happy. DH left for work super early and I am gettig ready to work out after making lunches and stopping by to say hi..

Congrats YENSID..

had a phone interview yesterday and a real in person interview Friday..

Hi Guys, Sorry I've been MIA. Had so much on my plate. Got Sam graduated and moved back here-for now, got Tom out of his dorm and preparing him to go to ASU this summer and got my hubby on the plane headed for Germany for 5 mos. It has been crazy.

I cannot read the last two pages of our thread for some reason. I've been trying for 10 minutes. UGH. Everytime the kids come home,. they put so much crap on my computer it never runs smoothly. Serioulsy. I hate when they use my computer. I try to use my virus protection every other day when they are here. It is crazy. Hoepfully everyone is well

Sam has a friend visiting this weekend so I have grocery shopping to do and need to clean the spare bedroom. That is a chore b/c we use it as a clutter room. ugh

Have a great day all.

I'm off to Vegas tomorrow and then to Europe with the family on monday for a little bit so i'll see you all in a few weeks!

Seewhat Hope you have a fab time in Vegas (it's my joint favuorite US vacation along with Disney - see my tag!!)

cheeringmom I hope you got your de cluttering sorted, I hate doing that too!

Yensid Congratulations on your degree!!

Slo You sure sound busy right now!! I hope the rest of the week is not as busy.

Well I had a great day at work today. We had an animal man come in for my science lesson as we have been learning about animals and habitats. So today I held a taransula, a snake ( 1.3m long constrictor!) and a bearded dragon amongst other things! The kids loved it, they got to hold things too and a few staff appeared in my room aswell for a look and to try to get rid of a few fears!!

Sorry I didn't check in yesterday - our internet was down because of some bad storms.

Speaking of that storm - it was an ANGRY storm!!!
Poor Kevin was out with the FD from 11:30pm to 4am (you may have seen him on the news when they talked about our town). Then he came home, and had another call at 6:30am, and he ran many other calls (not storm related) during the course of the day - he was exhausted last night!!!!

geffric - That's awesome about the interview - good luck today!!!!:wizard::wizard:

cheeringmom - You sound like you need a hug  Don't worry about the last 2 pages - not much has happened.

seewhat - Travel safe, and have a great time!!!! :cool1:

Danauk - Things won't be slowing down for me for awhile. Wednesday night I went back to work until 9:30pm (then didn't sleep much because the kids were afraid of the storms), last night we went to my mom's to celebrate my dad's bday, tonight I will be going back to work because I have a lot to do, tomorrow I work, Sunday I will be working around the house (trying to catch up on life) and then the work week starts again. I don't see any type of relaxing for a really long long time :faint:
**That's cool about the animal guy coming to your school. Kids love that kind of stuff!!!!!

Well, it's time to drag Steph out of bed, and I need to make her a lunch.
Have a great day everyone!!!

:guilty: FIL Update--- Well, this week has not been good to him. The doctors diagnosed more tumors, bleeding, and shortness of breath. He is back to using oxygen support. FIL is now off chemo since its no long helping his situation. They are trying to stay positive throughout the latest tests.

Sorry I've fallen off the face of the earth this weekend :upsidedow.
We've been having some internet issues, and it's put a damper on my DISing:guilty:

Since I've been on.....
Friday - just worked all day, and then went back to work and worked until 10pm.
Saturday - just worked all day, went to church at night, did some chores around the house, and then watched the season finale of CSI NY (DVR'd).
Sunday - the girls spent the day with their grandma, Kevin was at Indy, I did laundry, scrubbed the kitchen and foyer floor, scrubbed some walls (I am now a little sore from all this scrubbing), switched over my winter clothes to summer clothes, and other chores, then went to work to meet a friend/customer, finally sat and watched some tv in the evening.

So, I've been very busy and productive this weekend!!!!! :faint: I wish I could have got a lot more done around the house, but I just didn't have time.

The girls had a fantastic time with their Grandma yesterday. They went to an American Girl Doll tea party, and they both came home with great raffle prizes. Stephanie won a new AG game, and Katie won they big prize, which was the 2009 doll of the year - Chrissa. She was, and still is, SO excited!!!!!:yay:

Belle - I'm so sorry to hear about the current condition of your FIL :sad1:I will keep him, you and your DH, and the rest of his family in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us updated, and until then, many hugs to all of you!!!

It's time for me to check on my other threads, because I've been MIA from them too. Have a great day!!!

oh so sorry Belle. I will be sure to say a prayer for him and your family. please keep us informed.

Sounds like you had a productive weekend SLO. When the computer is not working I seem to get a ton more done!

Hopefully termite swarm seaosn is coming to an end. I hate them buggers. They are everywhere.

off to start the day. Have a great day all.

NCBelle Sorry about your FIL, you will all be in my thoughts and prayers.

Slo Wow, sounds like you have been busy!! Congratulations on the prizes for your girls, how exciting!!

Well I made my ADR's today, and it turns out that I was quite lucky. I was on hold for 17 minutes and had everything booked 35 minutes after I dialed. I got everything I wanted at the times we wanted them!! Other people were not so lucky, some were on hold for 2 hours, some were speaking to a CM then their computer would go down and they would be put back in the queue, some couldn't even get into the queue!! Then all of a sudden the whole dining system crashed and no one could make any ADR's for a few hours!! We booked some new places for us for dinner; Le Cellier, Marrakesh, Mama Melrose (we we ate here on the Backstage Magic tour but we didn't choose the food), Sanaa. Then some favourites; Yachtsmans Steakhouse, California Grill (the CM noted our anniversary for this one) and Boma. Then we got a 8:05am Crystal Palace so we can go into the MK before it opens, we plan to take a few quick pictures before we check in of a very quiet Main Street and Castle! So I just need to call back tomorrow to book the backstage safari tour. Now, if only the next 90 days will would pass quickly!

:wave2:

Good morning!

Thanks for the prayers/thoughts. NC Beast said that his Dad sounded better during a brief phone call on Sunday. One of MIL's cousins came up from Florida to visit family.

Just a quick fly-by today :car:
I need to go to my Leads Group this morning.

cheeringmom - I keep reading about your swarming termites on FB, and it gives me the willies. Do they get in your wood and hurt your home? Does this happen every year? Do they get in your house? I just can't imagine this:scared:

Danauk - Congrats on getting your ADR's and I went like this:eek:when I read about what happened to the Disney computers. I'm so glad you got your ADR's before all that happened. We always make our Crystal Palace ADR for the first seating, so we can get some good Main Street pictures. It's great to have photos when the park is empty!!!:thumbsup2

Belle - I'm glad your FIL sounded a little better - continued prayers for him!!!

I'm off and running - have a good day!!!

Good afternoon everyone. Well I have been off work  sick today. I think I have a sickness bug (one of my assistants has it too.) But on the bright side, in the periods where I was not being  I did manage to phone WDW and book our backstage safari tour for the day we wanted it. And I managed to use my UKAA card to get a AAA discount :thumbsup2. I have also been reading other peoples stories on the restaurant board and am so thankful that I got our ADR's yesterday. So many people are now saying there is no availability for the whole week in some of the restaurants I got ADR's for yesterday:eek:.

NCBelle I'm glad your FIL is sounding a little better today. COntinued prayers to you all.

Slo how long do the girls have left this year at school? Can't be long now I guess. We have this week, then a week off and then 7 more weeks until the summer. I am quite happy though as I have managed to get the end of year fun trip to a rollercoaster/zoo park that I like to be on my birthday which is in the last week of the school year! So this year I get paid to ride rollercoasters on my birthday . My assistant and I work really well together on these trips, she hates the rides so stands at the exit with all the bags and I take the kids on!!

Good morning from Switzerland! Hope you're all having a good morning. Talk to you when I get back!

We are going to have a beautiful day today :sunny:
It's going to be 86 degrees :sunny::woohoo:
I think I need to wear capris today :thumbsup2

Seewhat - :wave2: I hope you are having a great time!!! How is Switzerland?

Danauk - I'm sorry to hear about you being sick :guilty:I'll send loads of PD your way to feel better!!!!:wizard::wizard::wizard:
**Katie is out of daycare/preschool now (in an effort to save $$$$) - she goes to work with me 3 days a week and then goes to a grandmas the other 2 days - she loves it!!!!! Stephanie goes to school until June 12th - she is very excited!!! If they didn't have to make up snow days and flood days they would be out of school June 5th.
**That's awesome about getting that field trip, and that it's on your bday :woohoo:How fun!!!!!

Well, I gotta go get Stephanie up for school. She has a field trip today where she has to wear long pants and long sleeves because of the amount of Poison Ivy that's there  I'm so paranoid of Poison Ivy:scared:, and I told her NOT to touch anything that's green. We had so much of this stuff around our yard when we first moved into our house, and it took a lot of time, money, and education to get rid of most of it (and we did it w/o anyone getting touched by it). So, I'm really hoping that Stephanie comes home from this trip Poison Ivy free.

Have a good day!!!

Slo Poison Ivy? It isn't something we get over here. I remember though on an episode of Mythbusters (I love that show!!) they were busting myths about poison ivy and they needed someone on the TV crew to test the myth on, only it took ages to find someone who had a reaction to it!

See what You are in Switzerland?? I love that country, the hillsides are so beautiful! I remember the 1st time I visited the country, I was in the Girl Guides and one of the 4 worldwide guide houses are there which I went to. Such a beautiful place! Although the whole national guard thing and anyone of the age having to hang an army uniform with gun on their back door ready for national service scared me a little!!

Well I actually had a good day at work today. The deputy headteacher asked if a few other member of staff could come and watch some of my maths lessons as a model of excellent practice. Although I am scared about my work mates coming to watch me I am secretly quite proud that I have been asked to do this! My assistant is also going to be watched by other assistants as a model of how to help the teacher and work well as a team to enhance learning! I don't think we are too popular in the staff room right now! The head did tell me today though that in all the classes in the the school, my class has made the most progress this year which is nice to hear!!

Slo--- I remember "leaves of three...leave be". I'm allergic to it and I don't even need direct contact to break out.

Danauk---I'm glad that you a good day and receiving due praises. I'm so excited about upcoming WDW trip.

:surfweb:

I'm almost done with my book - WooHoo!!!!!:woohoo: (The DaVinchi Code)
I feel a little ridiculous that it's taken me 3 weeks to read it, but I just can't do it in less time. This book has been really good, and I've totally enjoyed it!!! Now I need to watch the movie again, to see all the differences between the book and the movie.

Danauk - Congrats on the being the teacher with the most progress - that's awesome!!!!:cheer2::cheer2:
**We had a lot of poison ivy in our yard when we moved in, and Kevins friend touched it (unknowingly) and broke out with a rash. He was so uncomfortable for a long time:guilty: After that I really educated myself about the plant, and we are always on the lookout for it.

Belle - Yes, some people can break out if they walk to close to it, and the wind blows the oil onto them. That stuff is evil!!!!

Time now to make Stephanie some breakfast. She actually can do it herself, but I still like babying her a little - I probably should stop that:rolleyes:
Have a good day!!!

Today is a big day for Stephanie - she gets to go with her dad and grandpa to The Indianapolis Motor Speedway :car: She has been to the track before, but never when there were Indy cars on it. I can hardly wait to hear what her reaction is the first time she hears a car on the track - it's an awesome sound - one that can never be described properly. I also hope she gets to see some of her favorite drivers - she would love to get a glimpse of them in real life.

Well, I have to go make sure Steph is ready to go
Have a great Friday everyone!!!

Slo- hope Steph has fun. What a neat way to spend the day

Belle, how if your FIL?

SeeWhat-I love Switzerland. We spend every thanksgiving for 5 years in Interlaken. We just to take the cog train up to Kleine Schidigg. What fun memories. I hope you are making some of your won.
