Escape to Neverland - A new Tagliarchy adventure!!

Just posting to say Hello, been offline for a few days; this time of year gets me because I lost my mom this time of year when i was stationed over in Germany at the ripe old age of 19. We were really close but I'm feeling better now.
Hugs:grouphug: I lost my mom at 33 and I think I was way too young.

Where in Germany were you? We were at Ramstein for 5 years 90-95. Loved it. I'd go back again in a heartbeat.

Have any of you seen the movie Fargo???
Do you recall the big coats they wore, and especially the HUGE hoods on those coats?
Well, that's the kind of coat I bought yesterday :rotfl:
I wanted something like that, for when I take Sophie out, and I wouldn't rest until I found it. We couldn't find anything like it at Dicks, or Kohls, so I finally thought about going to Cabellas (an outdoors store for hunters and things like that) and I found it:woohoo: This hood is so big, that I LOL when I saw myself in the mirror. But I don't care, because I'll be warm, the wind will be off my face, which is especially important when I take Sophie out first thing in the morning. :thumbsup2

Today is Christmas tree today :santa:
The house looks like someone dropped a bomb on it :rotfl:
Between all the boxes for the decorations, and all boxes for the garage sale - it's terrible!!!! I have a lot of work today, but at least I can do it in my sweatpants, with no makeup - that makes for an awesome day!!!!!!!:goodvibes

ibounce - Those books are my "to read" list for 2009. I won't see the movie first, because I agree with what you said. I've been reading all The Chronciles of Narnia books and I do picture the movie characters in my head while reading. I'm looking forward to seeing The Voyage of Dawn Treader now that I read the book. I'm so surprised how the other 2 movies have big differences than the books, and I'm wondering if the third movie will be like that too.

Danauk - Did you have a nice time at your family's? :)

SeeWhat - I hope you enjoyed the movie.:)

YenSid - So many hugs to you!!!  I have a hard time of year in March when my Grandma passed unexpectadely, so I totally understand how you feel . My grandma and I were very very close too:goodvibes Whenever you need to talk, we are always here to listen!!!!

Cheeringmom - Is it cold by you? I've been hearing how cold Florida is right now :cold:

Well, I guess I should start decorating the tree.
The earlier I start, is the earlier this house can go back to normal:thumbsup2

Have a great Sunday everyone!!!

Ooh Wallyb you are making me envious!! I hope you have a fab trip. We don't have any Disney trips planned right now (but sort of might have one in the works for Christmas 2010, we will have to wait and see.)

This afternoon I have been sorting out my recent DLRP pictures and putting some onto my digital photo frame, so I thought I would share a few.

You can go up in a balloon to have a great view of the parks:

NC Beast is feeling a bit better---good enough to work tomorrow. We don't know if his Dad is doing better with his stuff---we plan to call tonight.

Danauk---great pictures

great pictures DanaUK.. thanks for sharing and showing us DLP..

WallyB - are you ready?? Packing?? When does Stella go to the doggie SPA?? Did you do doorsigns??

Dana...Pics are great. DLP has sure grown a lot since I was there somewhere between 91-95. I went three times while living in Germany. I have the greatest video of Cinderella speaking french to Samantha and she had no idea what she was saying to here but the love in her eyes was magical.... I do remember the farms surrounding Disney

Yesterday was a total success!!!!!
*I got my upstairs tree up, and the upstairs all decorated + I set the Thanksgiving table (we eat on dining room table, which is something we only use on holidays and special occassions).
*I did several loads of laundry
*Kevin got all the Christmas lights on the house and the trees + did alot of other things outside.
*We got all the empty Christmas boxes back into the attic

We got alot done, and I felt so good when I went to bed last night!!!!!:)

I saw my first deer being butchered yesterday:scared:
Katie comes home and says, "Mommy, Mr. Rob is cutting up a deer." I said, "Really, did you see it?" She said, "Yes, it's hanging in the garage and he's cutting it." I said, "Okay, that's nice." and she went about her way. I wasn't thrilled about her seeing that at 5 years old, but she wasn't making a big deal about it, so I didn't make a big deal about it. I knew he got a big deer the other day, and it was hanging and draining in the garage. So later, I walked over there, because I knew Kevin was over there, and as soon as I got to the garage, I saw it - it was NASTY!!!!! Rob says to me, "Sandy, you may not want to see this." I said, "No, I'm actually curious on what you are doing." So he was cutting away at this thing, his friends were helping, and Kevin was watching. Rob says to me, "I'm sorry Katie saw this, but we were working on it, and she came around the corner, because she left something in the garage. As soon as I saw here, I told her she can't see this and to go home." (Katie plays with his DD). I said, "That's okay, she didn't seem to care." As we are talking he's still cutting - NASTY!!!!:scared: But, he's very good at doing this, and I was very impressed!!! He then takes the meat, and runs it through a grinder, to make ground venisen (sp?). Now I will never look at another deer again, after seeing what it's insides look like:scared: This time of year, we have deer by our house everyday. So, that was my new experience yesterday.

Wally - You are leaving this week!!!!!:woohoo: :yay:

Danauk - I need to get my pictures organized and post some. They are still in my camera  Your pictures are great though - thanks for posting them. Do you have a picture of the dragon, or whatever it is, inside the castle? Do you know what I'm talking about, or am I talking goofy this morning?

Belle - I'm glad The Beast is feeling better.:)

geffric and cheeringmom - :wave2:

Well, I gotta run and do alot of stuff around the house this morning. I need to fold and put away all that laundry I washed yesterday. I also haven't dusted around here in forever:confused3

Have a great day everyone!!!!!

Stupidity?

SeeWhat - I hope you enjoyed the movie.:)

Thanks!

Great pictures Danauk! :thumbsup2 I will definately make sure I get there someday.

I hope everyone is enjoying their break. It's snowing here in Michigan!

Well, we're off today to take Christmas pictures! :santa: Talk to you guys later :)

Nope your not being goofy! Sure I have a picture of the dragon. He moves around in the cave below the castle to guard it. I love this feature at DLRP!!

Another attraction I love at DLRP and wish they had in the American parks is the Alices curious labyrinth.

Glad you got your trees sorted, I plan on putting mine up at the weekend. I might put my Disney one up on Friday, but it depends if my friends are coming over for dinner or not. If they are it will have to wait until Saturday (I really just want to get all the new disney baubles out that I bought at Disneyland and DLRP this year!!)

I didn't know there was a dragon.. great pictures.. thanks

Stephanie had her last basketball games yesterday, and she did so great!!!! She made so many baskets, that the teacher/referee told her before the 1/2 time of the 2nd game to not make any more shots, and to pass the ball to other girls - I felt kinda bad for her. There were so many times that she had a perfect shot, and she would've made it, but then she had to pass the ball. She was also told not to steal the ball anymore, because she's really good at stealing. Out of all the games they played this November, she was responsible for scoring at least 85% of all the points. I guess I"ll be signing her up for Biddi-Ball next year :scratchin

Danauk - Thanks for posting those pictures:) That dragon is awesome, and I think it's so cool how Disney makes each of the parks same, but different - very cool!!!!! I sure hope I can visit that park someday - maybe when my girls are older, and it'll be a girls vacation (Kevin doesn't want to travel overseas - I don't know why:confused3 ).

Wally - Hey....you're leaving in 2 days!!!!!!:woohoo: Are you all packed and ready to go?

Well, I better get ready for work.
I need to make a frame delivery before I go to work today, and then tonight I am going to a customers house to discuss all the items they want to frame, so today will be a very filled day also.

Have a great day today everyone!!!!

Wally - Hey....you're leaving in 2 days!!!!!!:woohoo: Are you all packed and ready to go?

Getting there- don't put stuff in the bags till the last day -
to avoid as much crumpling as possible.

WallyB have a magical time... I never pack until the l;ast day either.. but I stage things to be packed .. what about the ironing?? I was thinking about you and the iron thing is this.. the stuff gets wrinkled in the suitcase anyway.. so if you let DCL iron, then it is part of the cruise budget and is free... as it gets mixed in with the other cruise expenses..
