You're going to have such a good time at DLRP! The park there looks lovely. Christmas at WDW is the best - it's so festive that the crowds never really bother me. I'm sure you'll have a wnoderful time whatever resort you choose

I love DLRP, I can't believe I will have had 3 trips there this year. The park is so pretty, and I love that you can go up into the castle and visit the dragon in the basement! We have been to WDW for Christmas before and I loved it. We used Tour Guide Mike last time and found the parks OK to deal with. We went to the MK the day before Christmas day and the rides for a lot of the morning were all walk on!! I think we will stay at the Beach Club Villas as we love the location and theme of the hotel.

The dragon sounds so cool! I've heard that Tour Guide Mike is good for crowds but I always go back and forth on whether or not to get it. It would be good for busier times though. I've seen pictures of BCV and it's so beautiful I hope that if I get into the College Program I can spend some time visiting all the resorts. I'd at least like to see them all if not stay in them before I die I'd also like to be part of the DVC so I need to see which resort I like best!

Greetings Taglikins, old and new!

I was on line at the crack of dawn with DCL booking a 2010 westbound Trans Atlantic cruise! The ONLY cruises for the year that are not costing an arm and a leg. A cruise friend does have a quote in for the first of the Baltic cruises for three of us to share an inside stateroom, but I think it's still going to be too expensive.

Seewhat - I saw on the news about the wildfires - is that close to you? If so, how scary!!! I'll send some PD your way for that fire to be put out soon, and you don't have to evacuate How are the winds today - I also heard on the news that it's very windy by you right now.

Danauk - How fun about the dragon in the basement. I think it's great how Disney parks are very similiar, but then again, very different. I hope I can get the opportunity to visit more than WDW in this life - I would really like that!!!!

Thanks for the PD, we need it! The wildfires are close to us but not as close as they were last year. I remember after evacuating and coming home last year there were scorch marks on the hills around our neighborhood We were lucky. The hot wind isn't really helping the situation either. I hope they put the fires out soon but nature isn't so predictable

Ooh ibouncetoo does that mean you are coming to my side of 'the pond.'? How fun. We did look at the Baltic cruise and the Med cruise too, but decided to go to WDW instead! Does the cruise dock in Dover? It's only about 4 hours to Disneyland Paris from there you know!! lol

Seehwhat I'd love to stay in all the resorts too! The college programme sounds like a lot of fun. I wish I could have done something like that when I was at Uni!

Slo I hope you have a fab Halloween trip. You will be in WDW when I am in DLRP! I'll think of you when I am stood in front of the castle!! How is your shop doing these days?

Well I better go, tomorrow one of the new teachers at our school is spending the morning in my room to see how I organise my class and how I work so I need to make sure my lessons are really good ones!!

NC Beast's Dad may be out of remission and may need to go through radition treatments next month after their European adventure. NC B.'s parents are finding out the results tomorrow. They are still going ahead with visiting their friends in Madrid before their 2 week Celebrity cruise (it is cheaper than what Disney is offering).


Their cruise itinerary is as follows:

Danauk - Thanks for asking about the store. Things are very very slow!!! With our economy being bad, people are not spending money. I'm praying for a good Christmas, because if I don't get that, than I don't know what I"m going to do. These are very stressful times for all small business owners!!

Belle - I"m so sorry to hear about your FIL I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers

SEEWHAT congrats on your tag!! What state are you from? I haven't watched any news lately and didn't know about the wild fires. Sounds like CA to me. I grew up there.... and good luck getting into the college program. My dd has a ton of friends doing it. My daughter actually got a face audition
and was accepted but then she ruptured her appendix. She had to drop a semester. Too many classes to make up that she had to turn down the program. She was very bummed.

DanaUK, well the Baltic reservation is very much in a pending status. We will be researching other cruise lines when their 2010 rates and itineraries are out. Or, may not do that at all and will be on the WB transatlantic.

Thanks! The wildfires are still raging but it's keeping its distance from our house. I'm just worried that it will burn down or something while we're on vacation I'm going to give our neighbor a key so that if they evacuate they can save our cats Have a great day!

NC B.'s dad's tests came in---psa level went back up from 2.0 (normal would be a 0) to over 4.5. In April whn he was first diagnosed it was a 6.7. The rise in numbers and extreme pain in his bones indicates tumors are growing. Radition is being recommended and Friday am is appointment for assesment. FIL is still hoping to be able to go to Europe/Med. cruise next week even though treatment takes 10-14 days. The in-laws have been through a lot the past month with another close friend being diagnosed (same type of brain cancer as Sen Kennedy) plus several other buddies with severe illnesses.
