Escape to Neverland - A new Tagliarchy adventure!!

Geoff will be at his first year of college.. so i'll be paying for that ..
:faint: You are much too young!

danauk - what awesome photos! It's Thomas!!!!

Hi everyone! :cutie:

RRBB - whassup girlfriend!!!!!!!?????

In response to what else is up but my silly gallbladder (thanks, can't believe you both had it out at 25!!!!), my son is now 6, my daughter is 3, and they are at a super cute age! We are headed into our first week of summer camp next week and I can't wait for him to go have fun! It should be awesome for him. I really hope he likes it. Really all else is just steamin' along normally. My mother is with us for a week because my son's school was out last week and camp doesn't start until the 23rd.

I think, but maybe not, I told you all that we bought a new home last December. It is so perfect for us and the back yard is really beautiful! I have a huge vegetable garden now too, which is a dream for me. I love puttering in it. The house fits us to a T and is in a great neighborhood. I am so glad everything worked out perfectly and we were able to do it.

I bring this up because it is why my mother can now stay with us for weeks at a time. Before our house was too small. Its been such a blessing.

Ah, the Tortolla cruise! I was booked on it for a little while too, but my son's school is really, really strict about vacations. So we are now booked for the April vacation period of April 2009. I actually looked at a lot of pictures of tortolla, and I am not that depressed not to be going. I am depressed on backing out of the 2008 double dip I was to do this fall. Now that is totally depressing.

ibouncetoo, that is why I had to back out of the double dip cruise this year too. I can not swing buying a house and going on a cruise. Not happening. I have to build back up our travel account and it will take me until 2009 to do that.... at the very least!

:surfweb:

castlegazer - That's great about the new house!!!!:goodvibes
I hope you have a nice visit with your mom!!!:)

Wally - :wave2:

Well, I gotta get out and get walking - I haven't worked out for 2 days, and I can feel it!!!!!
Have a good day today!!!

Danauk--- great pictures. My folks would love visiting all of those railroad places, but they will not fly or get a passport. My folks live near some famous PA railroad spots (Horseshoe Curve, tunnels, museums).

Evening... home from work .. just barely.. so just a quick hi.. and off to see what is for dinner..

We are having a beautiful day here in the Chicago area, so we are celebrating it by going to the zoo in downtown Chicago. The girls are really excited, especially Katie. We didn't get to go to any zoos last year, and I don't think she remembers much from the year before that - she'll really enjoy it!!!!:cool1:

Have a good day today everyone!!

I so love going to a zoo.
Have a blast.

Oh man, Lincoln Park Zoo is "MY" zoo! I used to live a couple of blocks from the main entrance. Went there a lot, especially to visit Mike, the polar bear. Have a great time. :thumbsup2

.

Ooh I love zoos too (or in the UK we mainly have wild animal parks not caged zoos which I much prefer.) At school we have decided to take our class to the local endangered animal sanctuary for our end of year trip which they are excited about. Plus I am extra happy as we are going there on my birthday!!

We had such a phenomenal day yesterday!!!!
The weather was awesome :sunny:, the zoo wasn't to uncomfortably crowded, the animals were the most active that I have ever seen them, and the traffic in the city was dealable. I was so happy with our day!!!! :goodvibes

Today the new siding is getting started on our house. I'm excited to see our houses new look. We have cedar siding right now, and it stinks!!! It holds boxelder bugs and the woodpeckers love to come peck at the house. It has so many holes - it's crazy!!!!! I can hardly wait to have that stop when the aluminum siding is put on.

Wally - I always love the zoo too (I think more than the girls  )

ibouncetoo - The polar bear wasn't out, which bummed me out:( I was looking forward to seeing him.
**That's awesome that you used to live close to the zoo. I would visit there often too if I lived close ::yes::

castlegazer - :wave2:

Danauk - How fun that you get to go there on your birthday :cool1:

Well, I gotta run and workout this morning (I didn't yesterday, but I walked alot and paddleboated for a 1/2 hour, so I got some exercise ;) )
Have a good day today everyone!!!

WooHoo!!! I love Fridays!!!! :cool1:

Have a good day today everyone!!

Slo I'm glad you had a great time at the zoo. I sure wish our school year was over like yours is!!

Well this week has been as busy as usual for me. We still have 4 1/2 weeks left before our summer holiday (7 weeks until my big American adventure!! Not that I am counting the days now you understand!!) The end of the school year is always hectic; sports days, end of year trips out, residential visits (I am taking 30 kids ages 8-11 away for 3 days! We are doing outdoor activities - archery, abseiling, rock climbing, karting, fencing etc and yes I will be doing them all as well!!), trips up to the local high school for my year 6's who are transfering there in September, plus trips to the local high school with my year 5's who have to choose which high school to attend after next year. Oh and yes, guess what other joy we have to look forward to with in the next 4 weeks. Yes, you've guessed it another 2 days inspection (I am really hoping it will be when I am away on the residential visit and am 2 hours away from the school!)
So whilst other schools in our town are beginning to wind down for the year we are still having to work extra hard as we know the inpectors will be back any day now. It has got to the point now that the area psycologist who usually evaluates children with special needs is coming in to see the staff! Aparently the local authority are concerned about the mental well being of the teachers! I wonder why that is!! Sorry I am ranting again!!

So does anyone have anything nice planned for the weekend? We have to clear out the loft area above the bathroom so we can install the new bathroom lighting. Just thought, do Americans call the area in the top of the house above the ceiling where you can store stuff a loft? We are installing 5 ceiling mounted downlighters so they have to be installed from above. So I guess I don't have a thrilling weekend planned!!

Have a great Friday evening everyone.

:surfweb:

Stephanie's at a friends house this morning (she went to a slumber party last night) and it's always weird when she's not here. She was so cute last night, she called me at 10:15pm last night, just to talk to me, and say goodnight. I was concerned she wasn't having a good time, but she said she was having a great time, and she just wanted to call me:goodvibes I told her that it made me feel good that even when she's having a great time with her friends, she's still thinking of me:goodvibes How sweet!!!!!!

Danauk - Another inspection:eek:   Holy cow!!! Good luck with it:wizard:

Well, I better run and get ready for work
Have a great day today everyone!!

Hi everyone, I hope you are all having a fun weekend. Today is a miserable day here in England, it is raining and generally miserable weather. Oh well!

Today I got confirmation from Disneyland that our ADR's are booked for the times we wanted. For those who know DL we booked Storytellers cafe, Blue Bayou for lunch, Vineyard Room, Napa Rose chefs table and Plaza Inn for a character breakfast. We are also doing the segway tour at DCA and we have booked the premium seating for the electrical parade for the night we arrive. I just have to decide what baskets I want to order from vacation planning and then we are all sorted and ready to go.

Hi everyone. Once again it's been a while since my last visit because life is so hectic. You'd think with summer it'd be calmer, but Ian is going to camp (school) everyday now instead of just 3 days/week. And Sophia has her activities to keep me busy, too.

Speaking of Sophia, this week she seemed to be running a low-grade fever and had lots more moments of fussiness. I thought it was just teething going on. But last night when I gave her a bath I noticed a rash on her tummy and chest. This morning it was all over her back, too. Called the doctor's office (after asking neighbor next door who has older kids) and they told me it sounds like a case of rosiola. Poor little thing is pretty clingy - to mommy - right now. And I'm pretty exhausted, since she's been waking up in the middle of the night the last few.

Just thought, do Americans call the area in the top of the house above the ceiling where you can store stuff a loft? We are installing 5 ceiling mounted downlighters so they have to be installed from above. So I guess I don't have a thrilling weekend planned!!
Attic. We called that area above living areas the attic.

Good luck installing the new lighting. And I hope the last weeks of your school year go quickly for you.

Gotta run, fussy baby calling...

Hello everyone - In the morning I am heading back to my mom's for a week of helping her get her house ready for sale. She does not sound too good. Her breathing is very labored and she is very stressed out about how I am going to react to the condition of the house. I have not been there in 6 years and it was very bad the last time we were there.

I am making the trip alone - this is by far the longest I have been away from my husband and the girls. I have not been apart from the girls for more than 3 days since they were born (both grandmothers' funerals). This is 7 days.

Wish me luck!

We are staying home today and bumming around all day :yay: Hopefully the rain will stay away, so we can have some pool time :beach: I will make sure to wear some sunscreen today, because my sunburn is still slightly pink where I burned before

RRBB - I"m sorry to hear about Sophia not feeling well :( It's always so hard to see your baby sick:( I've never experienced Rosiola, but I know what it is. I hope Sophia starts feeling better real soon :wizard: :wizard:

BB - Good luck at your moms, and good luck being away from the family.
I would have a hard time doing that too

I"m off to make some breakfast
Have a good day today everyone!!

Morning Taglikins!

RRBB, hope Sophia is feeling better soon. Hey....you're under two months till the cruise now, right? You will have a wonderful time. My friend Dee is on that cruise with her sister, their husbands and the 75 year old in-laws. I'm betting you won't run into them much, but geffric might! Her NEW user name is 1DisneyQueen, formerly Faireygod Mother (computer crash, e-mail change, forgotten password....hence re-registering). She's a hoot...great sarcastic sense of humor...which I so love. DISer Enna is also on your cruise. She was on my very first cruise and her family invited me to join them for Palo brunch...we were celebrating November birthdays. She's a sweetie!

Well, time to hit the shower and head over to Walmart when they open. I seem to be out of just about everything, so will be dropping some cash on all kinds of paper products and general supplies. Good thing there was some overtime in Friday's paycheck!

Everyone enjoy the rest of your weekend!
