Woke up with a headache today - I hate it when that happens!!!!!
I know it will be with me all day, which is a bummer, because we have plans to go to our neighbors for dinner, and to let the girls play. It won't be so much fun when I don't feel well


Katie never had to go to the doctor, but I have to continue giving her her puffer/inhaler and Musinex. I was also told be the doctor that she can't be playing outside in night air, morning air, and damp air - it's not good for her. Kevin is slightly asmatic, and these type of airs have always bothered him too. Keeping her inside is not going to be easy, when everyone else is outside - I feel bad for her


Kevin officially closed up the pool yesterday - summer is officially over!!!
I hate looking out or dining room window, or kitchen door, and seeing that cover on.
I'm starting to count the days until it comes off again


Danauk - Thanks, I hope she doesn't get as bad too. I get nervous, because I can never hear when she's wheezing, and I wish I could, because that's when her problem has turned into something more severe. So many times the doctor will walk into the room and immediately say, "Oh..she wheezing!!" and I just can't hear it (I could hear severe wheezing, but not slight wheezing). I've been going to this doctor since the day Stephanie was born, and this doctor and I have had alot of interaction because both my kids have been through very sick times. So she's knows she can kid around with me about how I can't hear that wheezing and she can instantly.

Welcome back ibouncetoo - I would love to catch up with you and hear how everything went, but you sure looked swamped at work when I walked by.

Slo - sorry about the headache. That is a bummer.

DanaUK - Hope you have a fun weekend. We saw him in concert too - about 6 years back. It was a good show.

My friend has Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She goes to her oncologist on Monday - I think to learn more about staging and treatment. She seems to be doing as well as can be expected. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. She is a teacher at a Catholic school and they have a priest coming in next week to hold a prayer service for the faculty for her.

I am just getting ready for Lily's 9th birthday. She is having a slumber party next week with 4 or 5 girls attending. We have never done a slumber party and are anticipating lack of sleep.

After that is all about getting ready for Disney.

Gefric, must report that I've moved my Alaska forward a week to 8/23 instead of 8/30. Good friend has booked the WALT SUITE that week and asked me to link with them. Can't pass up that!

Off to pick up Peg and go see FAME. I haven't been to a movie in soooooo long!

Aggghhh, what a day! So we went to Birmingham (just over an hour from our house), went shopping, went for a meal with my friends, got to the concert venue, sat down ready to see Andrea Bocelli, waited......... only to be told he had a sore throat and the concert was cancelled!! It was been rearranged until mid week in November which we can still go to, but aaaggghhhh!! He is only doing 2 concerts in the UK, one in London and one in Birmingham and lots of people there had booked hotels and made a weekend of it as they had long journeys to see him so they won't be able to return easily. Oh well, I guess one Wednesday in November I will have to leave work on time for once so we can get over to Birmingham again!

There's one part where a boy is kissing a girl and trying to put moves on her (on the couch...tries to lay down) but she rebuffs him in no uncertain terms*. Then there's just one chaste kiss and some general hugs of joy! Nothing new in the story but some VERY talented young people. I was especially impressed with the dancing. Look for a mom's input though. I would definately let a 12 year old go, just don't know about younger.

Yesterday was a filled day.
We went to the mall to get Katie's pictures taken - which turned out well. Then we ran some errands, and after we came home, my in-laws came over for dinner. It was a good day!!!!

Ooh looking back at my weekends posts I realised I forgot to post my major weekend news!! I am going to be an Auntie again!! Liz is having another baby, they told us when we visited on Saturday. She is due March time, although she doesn't have a due date yet as she hasn't been for her 1st scan yet, she is going this week and will let us know.

Slo--- I hope that Katie is feeling better.

We are get excited about Saturday. I drove around in the new car for the first time on Sunday afternoon. It was much easier to adjust between drivers. We found a great deal for NC Beast's shorts--- 80% off the original price for the summer clearance. We agree to eat wisely on our trip to maintain the weight loss. It is going to be hard to limit the F&W sampling this year.

Hi strangers!!

Wow. I've missed a lot. New cars, booked cruises, trips etc etc. I wish my life was as exciting.

Sam is off and in El Paso. She likes it so far.

My little one got the part of Belle in the school's Disney Spectaclular. It is not a big part but she does have a solo. I am sooo excited! My favortie princess of all time. She is sick this week with step..I think. Still awaiting on results.

Thanks for you kind thoughts. It is looking good so far. They have 3 more tests before they will say what 'stage' it is, but it looks like it is in just one area.

She is facing a port and 6 months of chemo. But it's looking very treatable/cureable.

BlueBayou---sending positive thoughts for your friend.

Slo--- We bought a used 2009 Chevy Impala LTZ (a sporty looking sedan with lot of storage space and safety features). It was cheaper for us to trade in because of the repairs needed at the time plus what was going to be replaced in the next 6 months due to the mileage. We feel a lot better with new tires, On Star, and an awesome stereo.

I'm trying to get myself motivated for today, after having such a long day yesterday.

Stephanie always has so much homework, and the most always comes when she has something else the same evening - like last night was CCD. She was doing her homework until 10pm last night Tonight will be the same way, because she has soccer practice tonight, and she's already said that she's expecting a lot of homework tonight I'm already looking forward to fall break - it's just to bad we aren't going on a trip this year like past years

Thank you God, that's finally Friday!!!!!
It's been a long week with all of Stephanie's homework and test, and with different things that I had to do for work - I'm so glad Friday is here!!!! I do have to type out a report for Stephanie this weekend, but that shouldn't take to long at all. It will be nice to have a break the next couple of days


Do you think Chicago will get the Olympics?
As cool as I think it would be, I don't think it will happen Just a gut feeling.
We'll see in about 5 hours


geffric and Belle - Have a great time!!!! I hope you both have a wonderful and safe trip!!!! Since we aren't going this year - please bring me home a Dole Whip, Mickey Bar, Tonga Toast, that deep fried toast at Crystal Palace, and a chocolate covered Rice Krispie treat (definitly one of those )
