The move it shake parade is so fun to dance around and watch!
We usually always buy the snow globe and an ornament with the year on it, each year the character theme is a little different!

It was strange, especially with all of the Christmas stuff still around too.
I agree. Just one of those things that is not a major attraction or things that you plan your day around, but it is a lot of fun when you just catch it on the spur of the moment.
I'm partial to the yearly merch as well. I like to have a magnet or something just because they are always a little different and remind you of each specific trip.

Day 5 - Part 2 - Meeting Our Daring Heroes
After watching the parade go down the street we headed back to use our first FP of the day at Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. DS5 was excited, despite what this awkward smile photo would tell you! haha
DW, DS5 and I went on the ride this time. I think my parents had a FP with DS1 for something else later on in the day. It was a great ride as usual. Some of my favorite ride photos ever this time around. Not sure what DW is laughing at where her hand is over her mouth, but it makes for a great picture.
After finishing we headed over to Frontierland for DS5 and my Dad to use a FP on Big Thunder. Of course we passed by Tom Sawyer Island on the way.
After their ride on Big Thunder, which they both loved, we boarded the train at about 1:00 to head back around to the Fantasyland station.
We arrived in Fantasyland at 1:15 and what did we do...well, naturally we chased a bug that we saw. By “we” I mean, DS5 chased a bug. Kids enjoy the craziest things at Disney World!
The real reason we were in Storybook Circus was to go to one of our favorite meet and greets where we get to meet the two daring heroes, The Great Goofini and the Amazing Donaldo. It was as good of a meet as ever and my parents especially enjoyed seeing the boys interact with these characters.
It was about 1:35 or so by the time we were finished with our meet and it was time for some more fun in the Magic Kingdom.

i always wonder when do these kinds of things become not intresting or amazing anymore. Like bubbles.... As an adult, bubbles are just well bubbles but to kids bubbles are amazing! It was a great time for sure. No doubt made better by the fact that we got to sleep in a little and everyone was well rested!
Kids...you never know what's going to give them some fun and excitement.
So true. They get a kick out of the littlest things and you know what...I'll take the joy he got from this any day!

Day 5 - Part 3 - Let Me See if My Head Is Still Attached
After we were finished with our great meet and greet in Storybook Circus we headed over to Dumbo. Me and my mom were taking DS1 on this. DS5, DW, and my dad stayed in Big Top Souvenirs to find a snack while we went to ride. We all really enjoyed it, especially DS1.
After we were finished and the others had found a snack, which I don’t have photographic evidence of, we headed off towards Tomorrowland for our next FP. DS5 and I had a FP at the Speedway. It wasn’t too long of a wait.
The others had a FP booked for Buzz Lightyear while we rode the Speedway and they all had a great time.
DW was without a small child so she was trying to get her best score ever as you can tell from the photo!
While they were doing that I was trying to make sure my head was still attached. DS5 wasn’t tall enough to drive yet, so I have run the gas pedal while he just steers. Of course you guys have done the ride so you know why I’m making this face that was to say, “Help me...my 5 year old is testing the stability of that bar in the middle of the track.”
Thank goodness the bar held up to the constant bashing and my head remained attached to the rest of my body. After this we met back up with the others as DW, DS5, and me had our final FP of the day at Space Mountain. It was a great ride!
It was time to head out of the park as we had an ADR to make it too at one of our favorite places, but that’ll come out in the next update. As we were leaving we got some photopass pictures in front of the castle. We didn’t get a ton of great pics on this stop, but there were a few good ones. So, here we go.

I don't know why, but i think it is hilarious with DS1 witht he pacifier in the mouth on the ride. He looks like he is just watching a tv show or something.
She was not messing around! I mean how often does she get to ride with no kids?!
I am really mad (well disney mad) that they aren't upgrading the cars with the refurb. I mean really, those cars are awful! I mean the kids driving skills won't get any better but they could make it not spell terrible.While they were doing that I was trying to make sure my head was still attached. I know! He looks just as intense as everyone else playing the ride!
So true. Riding with kids you are either fighting over controllers or trying to hold on to them and you certainly never get to control the "spin" on your own vehicle. I'm sure she loved this and had a high score!
I know. That ride could be so much better if they just did a few upgrades. I mean getting rid of the thick, thick, thick cloud of smog that is sits all around the attractions. I mean that would make my day that much better at Magic Kingdom!
Going to try and post in a few minutes. I've had a little time to spare with us on spring break this past week.

Day 5 - Part 4 - The Best Meal Ever
It was just after 3:00 at this point as we left the Magic Kingdom in route to our ADR for the evening. We decided on the monorail as our mode of transportation.
What resort were we heading too? We’ll see if this gives it away.
DS5 had to do a dab to as well...of course!
We were taking my parents to one of our favorite places, ‘Ohana! We still love this place. It’s one of our every trip kind of places. Now, I need all of you loyal readers to prepare yourself for some of the best pictures of an ‘Ohana dinner ever:
Yes, that was it. We had an entire dinner at ‘Ohana and I only got one picture that I’ll call “the aftermath of the bread pudding”. I apologize for my terrible trip reporting, but it was such a great meal with my parents. I actually lied, I have one more picture at our table. DS1 playing with his cup.
I know, I know...I get the award for worst trip reporter of the year. Anyways, my Mom had been to ‘Ohana before back on our first trip when DS5 was just 15 months old and she loved it. It was the one restaurant she said we have to bring my Dad to on this trip. We did and he loved it. He kept talking about how good it was. All of our traditional favorites were great on this night, especially my potstickers and noodles. I mean, it’s a good thing I don’t know how to cook those as we’d eat them weekly and I’d put on a lot more weight than I already carry! I didn’t take great notes, but what I do have was that the steak was very good on this visit, sometimes it gets a little overcooked I’ve found, but we loved it.
Overall, it was a perfect meal for our family. The food is great, there’s plenty of it, and we like that things come at a quick enough pace that the boys don’t get to bored waiting for food to arrive, which is always a good thing. Anyways, we spent a few minutes walking around the lobby.

As we were finishing up checking out the downstairs gift shop we noticed an impromptu meet and greet starting up in the lobby and we jumped in line. We were just the third people in line to meet these guys...how awesome!
Anyways, it was a great meet and greet after dinner. The ones that are just out of nowhere are so often the most special and this one was great. Each of the characters spent a little time with each of the boys and we weren’t rushed through by any means. It was great. Anyways, our plan was to head back to the resort tonight to get in bed at a good time as we had an early morning tomorrow. DS1 decided it would be fun to crawl back up the steps to the monorail.
Once we made it back to the monorail we rode to the MK and then took a bus back to All Star Sports. We were there by 6:15. DS1 headed straight to bed and we thought he felt a little hot. We hoped he wasn’t getting sick, but he was acting a little sluggish. Anyways, my Dad took DS5 to the gift shop after we got off the bus and he showed back up in the room with this:
DS5 was begging us to just play football with him on the football field at All Star Sports. It really is a neat place and we even found some festivities going on.
It was “snowing” tonight as part of the Christmas festivities:
We played with him until about 7:45 and then headed back. I put DS5 in bed and went to refill my mug.
I was loving the baseball pool at night. I was back by 8:00 and everyone was asleep, getting ready for the early morning. I managed to make it for about 15 more minutes, but I was tired too, so I turned in. I needed to be up at 6:00...yes, you read that correctly, 6 AM.

I know. They are always the earliest dinners ever, but we find it actually works well for a day where we do a park, then do the early dinner, then just have a restful evening at the resort.
I hadn't even looked at that! So funny!
I know. Makes it all worth it!
Well...kids will be kids is what they say. If your kids are like mine if I tell them to do something that just means they are going to do it quicker! haha

Day 6 - Part 1 - Nothing Worse Than Being Sick at Disney
We woke up around 6:00 AM, thus the early bedtime last night, because it was morning EMH at Magic Kingdom. Unfortunately, when DW and I got up DS1 was not feeling well and ended up having a 102 fever. Just look at him, he doesn’t look well.
Anyway, DW decided to stay at the hotel with him and see how he did over the next couple of hours before deciding if he needed to go to urgent care or something. So the rest of us loaded up to head to EMH. I mean, there is nothing worse than being sick at Disney. We had plans this morning to do some Fantasyland with the grandparents for the boys, but we’ll see if we can re-arrange things some.
My parents, DS5 and I were at the bus stop at 6:30. Of course this was leading up to Christmas so regular park opening was 8 AM and that meant a 7 AM EMH. A bus came at 6:32...hooray, and we were at the Magic Kingdom by 6:45. When we arrived DS5 and I got a selfie with our tired faces!
We headed into the park right at 7 AM to see the castle like this. It was a first for me to see it like this.
It was definitely different than we’ve seen it before. Since DS1 was unfortunately not with us we headed to Tomorrowland and decided to do Astroorbiter first since it is always such a slow loaded later in the day. We were riding by 7:05. We got some other shots of the castle from on the ride.
After riding Astroorbiter we decided to hop on Buzz Lightyear and see if we could save the galaxy.
After Buzz it was about 7:25 and we headed over to jump on Space Mountain. There was a 30 minute wait posted, but we only waited about 10 minutes. Their on-ride photo system wasn’t working yet. I guess it was still too early for it!
After the ride DS5 decided he needed to do a picture in front of the ride with a special pose!
Another shot of how thick the fog was this morning:
It was about 7:50 once we were out of the ride and we jumped on Tea Cups as DS5 loves this one before heading back and getting on Under the Sea at 8:00, about the time the park was opening to the general public. This was a great EMH. We could have done a few more rides if we had been in Fantasyland, but five rides between Tomorrowland and Fantasyland wasn’t bad at all. It was time for the crowds to show up so see how we fared in the next update.

I think your Ohana picture is just perfect, that is a sign of enjoying your meal! We have eaten here 3x and have always enjoyed it so much. Now that Andi is a vegetarian I will miss it!

This was really our first instance of anyone getting sick at Disney. At least we are a little more ready to handle it now, but it is definitely not any fun.
I know, but I guess that is the nature of Christmas time at Disney World.
I know...another update coming and there may or not be another one!
For us it is just something we need in our trips. So much fun and the food is all things we enjoy!
I know. Completely unexpected magic, but that is usually the best kind!
It was kind of neat. A lot of cool events here we noticed.
I know...our first time anyone getting really sick at Disney World.

Day 6 - Part 2 - “This Toy is Exactly What I Wanted”
We had just finished our extra magic hour in Tomorrowland and now made the trip across the park to Splash Mountain at about 8:20. Before we got there I had to get my obligatory photo of the Riverboat. What a great place for some pictures!
We got over to Splash at 8:25 and it was a walk on. It was still foggy and a little cool so my parents decided they didn’t want to ride, but me and DS5 were all in!

After Splash we headed into Adventureland and waited about 15 minutes for a ride on Pirates of the Caribbean.
In the post ride gift shop we were looking around and DS5 was playing with the swords in the picture above. Then he saw this and said, “That toy is exactly what I wanted!”
I’m not sure where he had seen it before or what caused him to have such a desire for this toy, but this was the one! He had a bunch of points saved up for good behavior on the trip that we let him redeem for things he wants. So he used some of his saved up money for this and he still plays with it 18 months later!
Anyway, after finding the best toy ever we headed out and took a ride on Magic Carpets which I managed to not get one picture of. I was probably too busy trying to stay dry as DS5 loves to get us wet while we ride! After riding we headed over for our next ride, but got caught at a picture stop first!
We finally made it here, the home of 999 Happy Haunts!
We enjoyed this ride. My parents got a nice kick out of the stretching room! It was just after 10:00 after we finished. Only 10 and already three hours down in the park. We were getting tired though and wanted to get back and check on DS1.

He had a bunch of points saved up for good behavior on the trip that we let him redeem for things he wants. So he used some of his saved up money for this and he still plays with it 18 months later!
Anyway, after finding the best toy ever we headed out and took a ride on Magic Carpets which I managed to not get one picture of. I was probably too busy trying to stay dry as DS5 loves to get us wet while we ride! After riding we headed over for our next ride, but got caught at a picture stop first!
We finally made it here, the home of 999 Happy Haunts!
We enjoyed this ride. My parents got a nice kick out of the stretching room! It was just after 10:00 after we finished. Only 10 and already three hours down in the park. We were getting tired though and wanted to get back and check on DS1.

Day 6 - Part 3 - “Why Don’t They Have Fastpass at the Urgent Care?”
I’m going to roll right into this next update right after the last one because I was a terrible photographer on this day. We were all a little worried about DS1 so our minds weren’t quite all focused on taking pictures and such. We had been in the park for three horus and were all a little tired. It had been a great early morning in the parks where we walked on about everything we wanted to and didn’t use a FP because those were being used at Animal Kingdom later this evening. We decided to head back as DS5 really wanted to take a bath with the new toy he bought. You guys with kids know, but sometimes the weirdest things are the best parts of the trip for them! Haha
Anyway, on our way out we of course had to stop for a few minutes as the Street Party Parade was going on.
We even followed the parade down Main Street for a bit.
We were back at the bus stop at 10:35 and it was still foggy as you can see!
A bus came at 10:50 and we were back at All Star Sports at 11:05, not terrible transportation time at all. I had been staying in contact with DW about DS1 and she had decided to take him to the Urgent Care at about 9:00 and when she got there it was a 110 minutes wait. She called me to ask, “Why don’t they have fastpass at the urgent care?” I laughed and said, I bet if they charged for it people would pay it. Anyway, DS5 took his bath while we waited for DW and DS1 to get back and we had some lunch at the food court. Again, we were concerned about DS1 so I didn’t photograph anything or even write down what we had. I know, I know...terrible trip reporter here!
DW an DS1 got back around 12:30 and it was a positive flu test for him. They had given him Tamiflu and told her to keep him in the room tonight, but that he would probably be much better in the morning. So, unfortunately DW was going to have to miss Animal Kingdom and Flight of Passage again. I offered to stay, but DW wanted to stay with him!
Meanwhile, DS5 spent the afternoon at the hotel resting, swimming, and playing with his cars...
...and some other toys he had gotten...
...and his green army men my parents had gotten him.
All in all, he had a rough afternoon as you can tell! By 3:45 it was time to head over to Animal Kingdom because we didn’t want to miss our Flight of Passage fastpass. I was so excited to get my parents on this ride! We were all ready, but sad to be leaving DW and DS1 behind again, but we knew he’d be feeling better soon.
