Players:
Me (31)
DH (33)
Courtney- DD (7)
Nicholas- DS (14 mos)
Up early (as usual) and out the door to EMH at MK. My original plan was to stay at MK until closing and then go to Epcot since it was open later. As we were walking in, DH looked at the sign for MVMCP and commented about there being another party tonight and how much fun we had Tuesday night. I was thinking it was December 12 (but today was the 11th) and I told him the sign said it is sold out.
There were a couple of characters in the courtyard that DD has never met before so DD and DS got autographs and pictures with Daisy and Robin Hood. We headed over to Fantasyland for Dumbo, Peter Pan, Pooh, IASW, and Snow White.
We jumped the monorail to Chef Mickey's. In the early planning stages, I had not planned on going here (nothing against it, but "been there, done that" kind of thing- I was considering trying Kona Cafe instead), but after watching the Unwrapped WDW show on the Food Network, DD and DH both wanted to go back. The food and the character interaction and our server (can't remember her name) were awesome. Our server was sweet, efficient, and anticipated everything we might need. We will make this a regular from now on. There is a really cute picture of DD laughing and DS holding Pluto's tongue, but I don't know how to post pictures, so use your imagination.
We arrived back at MK and DD got her picture taken with Max. She had never gotten pictures with him before. We decided to bite the bullet and get DS' first haircut. We decided to get DD a haircut, too, so she did not feel left out. While I waited with the kids, DH went to go get FP for Space Mountain for him and DD. When DH came back, he told me that the sign he saw did not show MVMCP as being sold out- (he obviously could not read my mind and know that I had today's date wrong in my head- what is wrong with him?). Please don't tempt me (we had every penny that we were going to spend saved before the trip and two parties were not in the budget)- I can be too easily swayed. Beverlene (I believe was her name) gave DS a really cute little boy's haircut and she gave DD some long layers and put purple paint and pixie dust in her hair. She did a great job and both kids were very well-behaved.
Next we headed to Tomorrowland (after buying a balloon for DD which would be totally in the way for the rest of the day). DH and DD rode Space Mountain. DS slept in the stroller while I did a little shopping in the gift shop there. We saw Buzz Lightyear and DD got her pix and autograph (unfortunately DS was asleep so we did not get his picture with Buzz).
We stopped for a snack at Pinocchio's Villagehaus. DS and I had brownies and milk and DH and DD had chocolate shakes. It was about time for the parade (we're not real big parade people) so we headed to Frontierland for BTMRR and Splash Mountain per DD's request. DH and I finally decided to give in and get tickets for MVMCP. He took DD on BTMRR and Splash while I took DS to get party tickets and do a little shopping (after all the budget was already out the window with the second round of MVMCP tickets).
We met back up and rode POC, Jungle Cruise, and HM. None of us were starving yet, but it was getting close to 6:00 and I started thinking Columbia Harbor House might be closing in a few minutes and we had planned on having dinner there. They were already closed (they would be serving cookies and hot cocoa later) so we decided we would wait to eat later. We went back to Tomorrowland which we had not done this trip yet. After that we decided to go get our free picture made at the Hall of Presidents. We were one of the first in line so we were out of there in a flash (pun intended). We settled on Pecos Bill for dinner. We had hamburgers a couple of nights ago and I did not want them again, but we had not made PS anywhere. I settled on the chicken wrap and was pleasantly surprised. It was very tasty. We all ended up really enjoying dinner. After that DH and DD rode all of the mountains together and then the four of us all rode Buzz, TTA, Pooh, Peter Pan, HM, and the Carousel (DS loves the carousel so we rode it twice, but he still cried when we got off- its his favorite). We got cookies and cocoa and then I took the kids on the Magic Carpets of Aladdin a couple of times. DH and DD rode Goofy's Barnstormer and then we headed for our last ride of the night, POC. There was this guy who seriously smelled like he had bathed in alcohol- a TRUE PIRATE
!!! His woman even had to help steady him when he was going up the escalator-type-thingy.
We hurried to the boat and made it home in no time flat.
Coming up.....
Our last full day- breakfast at Cindy's and an evening at Epcot
