Players:
Me (31)
DH (33)
Courtney- DD (7)
Nicholas- DS (14 months)

Up earlier (even earlier today) to pack for transfer to WL and to try to make EMH at MGM. We got there about 8:45 so missed most of it. DH was going to get some fastpasses for TOT or RNR, but if memory serves, they were both down. We decided to grab breakfast at Starring Rolls. DH got a cinnamon roll. I got a chocolate croissant. DD got a cookie (it's vacation, after all), and DS got ...I don't remember. The chocolate croissant was not as good as the one I had at Fountainview Espresso on our last trip- this one needed more chocolate. Of course, I still managed to force myself to eat it all, LOL. DH spied the Green Army Men so he took DD for pictures and autographs, while I kept feeding Nicholas.
after that we decided to go on the GMR. I love this ride since I love old movies. We had a small wait, but not too bad. My Gosh, the CM was so loud. We were towards the back and I was afraid he was going to break the glass on my watch. I was really glad when our (female) gangster hijacked us so that the really loud guy was gone. I was hoping he didn't make it back. DD was so funny though because she thought "Bugsy" the gangster's name was Betsy. Betsy, now there's a real tough name for a gangster!! DD was kind of afraid of the Alien segment- luckily DS does not know enough to be frightened yet. The end part showing all the movie clips always makes me want to cry- don't ask me why.
DH was running out of time for the FP for RNR that he had gotten later so he did that while the kids and I looked in the Planet Hollywood store. I was trying to find a Christmas present for my new BIL- he likes the Godfather movies a lot. I didn't find anything like that there, but there was this awesome Night of the Living Dead T-shirt- it even said, "They're coming to get you, Barbara." That part always makes my sister and I laugh because our mother's name is Barbara and our father's name is John. I thought about getting that for my sister, but she does not like "big, sloppy" T-shirts. She likes "cute clothes that fit." DD did not like the Terminator prop.
DH met up with us and said the line for TOT was pretty short so he was going to run to that while the kids and I wondered over to Playhouse Disney. We had a few minutes to kill so we looked around the merchandise carts and then went into the store by "Magic of Animation" (forgot the name of the store) where we encountered a wonderful CM. I was looking around the store seeing what I might want to buy later. CM Jonathan asked DD if she could name 7 princesses. He gave her some hints when she got stuck. He gave her a "Magical Moments" certificate that she will always treasure. Jonathan then asked me if I could name 7 princes. He helped me when I got stuck, too. He also gave me a certificate. He was so nice that I decided to go ahead and buy a hoodie for DS (they didn't have the right size out but Jonathan found one in the back), an insulated cup, and Koda for DD. DH met us in line for Playhouse Disney. We enjoyed it, but it was really hard to keep DS from crawling all around. He was excited to finally be down on the floor- FREEDOM!!! DS fell asleep in the stroller immediately after the show, so DH took DD to the Magic of Animation while I sat outside and soaked up the surroundings and watched people looking at the moose from Brother Bear. DH and DD also saw Lilo and Stitch so she got pix and autographs with them. We bought the picture that they sold of it also. DD even danced with Stitch. DH did not get it on tape so I really wish I would have seen it. Oh well! At least DD will always have great memories from it. They came back and DH said I would really enjoy the Magic of Animation so DD went back with me. He was right- I loved the film with Mushu especially. Seeing the artwork after the film also got me to buy the American Heroes DVD after we got back at home.
It was time for lunch so we headed over to 50's PTC. We had a few minutes' wait, but we enjoyed hanging out in the "living room" taking lots of pictures. We ordered the cheese fries for an appetizer. DH and I split the fried chicken- brought on two plates. DD got chicken strips, I think, and DS got macaroni. DH is a sweetie and let me have the white meat. :p DD got a special drink so she could get the cool ice cubes, of course, she insisted on going ahead and sticking her hands in her cup and immediately retrieving them (she is a unique child). We all ordered shakes since I had to have the PBJ shake and we also split an order of smores.:sunny: DD and I were stuffed so our waitress (Lydia, who was awesome) put our shakes in to-go cups. A fabulous meal as always (and probably why I gained four pounds on this trip).
We still had a lot that we wanted to do: Muppets, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast (at least the preshow part), but we were running out of time. We still needed to check into WL so wonderful DH said he and DS would take the bus to WL to check in and then meet us back here. I let DD decide what to do and she chose VLM and Star Tours (again). We waited a while for VLM to start, but enjoyed it as usual. We then ran to Star Tours and walked on- it was during the parade. We were through it really quickly so we chose to run back through it. We love the alien they show buckling his seatbelt- we want to take him home with us- he would fit right in with my kids. We only had a couple of minutes before our meeting time with DS and DH, but I wanted to go ahead and get a couple of Star Wars shirts for BIL for Christmas. I grabbed them and ran to the counter. The CM was friendly- very friendly. I made the mistake of telling him to send it to WL. He then gave me an exact detailed description of Pop Century (let's see....you walk 23 meters past the front desk and then you rotate 63 degrees NW and then you will encounter....)- I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone- wait, this is the Star Tours gift shop, not the TOT gift shop.
We made it back to our meeting spot just before DH and DS got there. Bless DH's heart. DS fell asleep on the way so DH had to struggle with holding a sleeping baby and folding and unfolding strollers by himself. He said that luckily DS had not been asleep for too long so he did not have that much trouble. I really wanted to see One Man's Dream so DH said he would stay with Sleepyhead again. DD and I hurried to OMD. I was wishing I had left her behind because she was SO bored and was trying to rush me through it. She even complained during the film that she was bored and ready to go. She had already gotten used to the fast-paced rides and needed some action.
