Epic Universe update

I'm way too excited about Epic Universe considering it's still so far away. I've already convinced myself that I should find a way to go to the opening, whenever that is, knowing how crazy it's gonna be. But I've never been to an opening before and I feel like the public energy is just going to be too good to pass up on. A new Orlando theme park!

I am SO excited for this. I don't plan on being there opening day but I would love to visit sometime when it opens. I wonder if they'll control crowds the way Universal Japan did and make people sign up for a time slot to visit Nintendo World (kind of like a virtual queue but you could only sign up when you're physically in the park).

Thoughts on tickets to Epic? Do you think there will still be a two-park option or will the base ticket include all three parks (not including VB as water parks are their own thing)?

I think it will be similar to how Disney does it. Universals base ticket is only for 1 park. They do have the park to park ticket. I think they will have a ticket similar to a park hopper for all 3.

That's my guess too. They will have base (1-Park) tickets and multi-park tickets, but not a separate two park ticket. Volcano Bay will probably have it's own separate tickets and add on option to other tickets.

I think that ride will end up being the most popular/most talked about in the park.

Rumor is that universal had deal with mack rides to build the racing coaster in the hub and a splash battle in how to train dragon then saw the success of the lastest version of the extreme spinning coaster(ride to happiness in Europe) and did a deal with Mack for a similar extreme spinning coaster in classic monsters.

I think they will probably ask Mack to go further than the 55mph and 6 inversions of ride to happiness. Even if it's just 56mph and 7 inversions it makes it easy to advertise.

Making the coaster alone thrilling then with horror theming to the levels seen with velocoaster/hagrids it will be unique and cater to for older teens and young adults.
