I thought it might be fun to start a thread on what you'd like to see for this event. Over the years, we've all loved a certain something about Epcot.
Put your thinking caps on, and remember or invent something new.

I'lll start: I'd like to see the Tapestry of Dreams Parade brought back with the music. I loved that parade. Everytime I hear the music from my CD, I get nostalgic about it. I'd also like to see the dinner reservations screens brought back. I loved those. You know, the ones where you saw someone on a screen speaking to you and you could make reservations for dinner at one of the pavillions.

Come on, guys, what else?

I agree, I LOVED the Tapestry of Dreams parade and was VERY disappointed when it left. In addition, I'd like to see 1980 food prices!!! :rotfl2:

I'll second the request for Tapestry of Dreams to be brought back! I LOVED that parade as well. Can't imagine why they got rid of it. :confused3 I wish I had the CD as well!

Tapestry of Dreams, since I never got to see it :goodvibes

I'd also like to see something done to the WoL pavillion, looks kinda sad just sitting there closed! :(

We saw it as both Tapestry of Nations and then Tapestry of Dreams. By far, my favorite WDW parade. We saw it over and over even on the same trip! We found the perfect viewing spot on the bench in Germany from reading the DIS boards. We have the music on CD and I very often listen while I "DIS". Yes, bring back ToD!

I thought Tapestry of Nations was better than Tapestry of Dreams.....as for the rest, how 'bout an expo hall with items from rides and attractions of the past?........two things:

Horizons

World of Motion

...'nuff said.

:earsboy:

I'd like to see a new country, perhaps one with which the U.S. has a drastically improved relationship since 25 years ago. Russia, China, Kuwait.

Tapestry of Dreams!! My DD's all time favorite. Every time we go she gets sad while waiting for Illuminations because she feels cheated that there is no TOD.

I'd like to see something entirely new in the exit area of Spaceship Earth - maybe a new display of 21st century communications technology, from print to internet to sattelite phones to VOIP to Bluetooth.

I'd love to see the old video-phone dining stations come back. Anybody remember those?

Innoventions needs a makeover. Ditch the video games and bring back rotating displays of the newest cutting-edge technologies on the horizon: new materials, new electronics, new energy sources (like hydrogen fuel cells), new household and office gadgets, and new construction techniques. Displays on new construction mega-projects like the Millenium Tower, new dams, bridges and causways, and new ship and aircraft designs could be maintained by the companys developing them. Innoventions shoud be like Comdex, year-round.

World Showcase has 11 countries plus the Outpost. Why not assign one month of the year to each country and theme all of Epcot to celebrate that country's history and culture? There could be a unique parade for each nation, a unique set of foods that can be found not only in the WS but in the Electric Umbrella and some of the sit-down restaurants, as well (imagine Itallian Seafood month at Coral Sea! Scharma month at EU! Chinese noodles and veggies month at Garden Grill!)

And fix up Wonders of Life so Cranium Command can re-open.

I'd like to see the Epcot sign and Mickey's hand disappear from Spaceship Earth. For good.

Yes, I agree! And make the entire entrance area pretty, like it used to be, not like a graveyard, with those Leave a Legacy tiles. I think the biggest thing I dislike about that area is the knowledge that they took out a beautiful flower area for it. The other thing I'd like to see is an updated version of Illuminations. Much as I love Illuminations, now that I've seen Wishes, Illuminations is losing a little of its luster. Time for an update!

What an interesting idea WillCAD... the "assign one month of the year to each country and theme all of Epcot" .. They could call it the year of nations or something like that.. not a bad idea..

I wouldn't mind Tapestry making a return, either one to be honest but I would love to see them do something with the health pavillion. It has sat like that long enough and is now nothing more then a wasted space. Save a few things from inside somehow and either level the place and put something totally new, or find a new theme, make the updates and get the place back open again.

Does anyone remember the Millenium desserts that were served at the Epcot restaurants? Maybe they could do something special for the 25th Anniversary--each country doing it's own spin on the festivities.

I'd also like to see them do something different with the children--something more than the Kidcot stations. It's such an opportunity for children to expand their knowledge of other cultures. Perhaps make children's versions of a country's specialty food, or feature a toy from that country, focus on teaching them a foreign greeting.

Anyone else?

Bring back the original Tapestry of Nations (with the Sage of Time and the original narration) and not that pale imitation Tapestry of Dreams!

I'd like to see Horizons come back. Not just an expo hall featuring it, but the whole ride.

I would like to see some extra Country's add to World Showcase.

I would love to get to see Body Wars since it has been closed every time we have went. :(

I'd also love to see a new country, espically australia or greece. There is so much history and culture associated with greece that I think the WS could really make a nice pavillion.

I also agree with the Innoventions updated needed. IMHO the only thing Innoventions is good for is a cool place to walk thru to the other side. :smooth:

I'm not sure which Tapestry I saw when I was ther in 2000. What was the difference??

I believe I speak for myself and Sjuguy and perhaps Uncleromulus, but I would like to see them bring back Ringnes beer. Thank you.
