Epcot World Showcase Yummies

One our trip recently I very much enjoyed a slice of cheesecake from the bakery in France. I agree that everything in this place looked scrumptious!!

Grand Marnier Slushies in France....

Think slurpee with a kick.

VERY yummy!

Our Epcot day is not complete without a visit to the Norway bakery. It seems to be overlooked by quite a few people but the cakes are fabulous! It's always nice to go to our home pavilion (UK) and look at the sweets and see how expensive they are!

BTW fish and chips in UK were the worst we have ever had!

I usually get popcorn from the cart in Canada (the best on property IMO), followed by chips w/malt vinegar in the UK and a chocolate croissant (OK, maybe an extra or two to save for later too :blush: ) from La Boulangerie Patisserie for dessert. I really miss the super cheesy danishes they had in Norway. They were great to save for breakfast the next day!

everything is good at the world showcase! but some favorites are

crapes from france
lasagna from italy
nachos from mexico
and you have to sample all the beer! :drinking1

if u really want a treat you have to visit during the food and wine festival there are lots more countries to try then! :thumbsup2

Eating in Epcot is a mandatory thing among several of my friends on our free time while working at WDW.

Personal favorites include:

UK- Fish & Chips (naturally)
- Welsh Dragon (alcoholic drink in the pub)
- Shepherd's Pie in R&C (although, I believe they took this off the
menu sometime in late April)
Morocco- Everything I tried at Marrakesh was incredible! Appetizers
through dessert and entertainment, as well. People seem to shy
away from Morrocco, but this was one of my favorite meals ever!
Japan- Shaved ice!
- For a quick meal during Illuminations, a bowl of rice with terriyaki
sauce and a ginger side salad.
China- At Nine Dragons, we found the "Dinner for Two" was fantastic and
easily fed 3 of us at a reasonable price. It includes: appetizers,
soup, 2 main courses w/ rice, and dessert!
Norway- Cinnamon Buns! (A personal World Showcase favorite...)
- Also, if you like Scandinavian food, Akershus is quite good;
however, if Scandinavian cuisine isn't your thing, you may not
want to go this route.

Happy Feasting!

UK - the fish and chips are to die for - a "must eat" at least once each vaca.
Germany - the cola gummies for the kids and me. a nice dark beer (dont' ask me brands) for my DH.
Norway - the sweet pretzel (i think that is where i got this thing)....just fantastic.
Mexico - a frozen margarita for me and a churro for my son (i personally don't get the churro thing, but it's his vacation too!)

not a snack - but the Beergarten buffet in Germany is a must for our family. We love our cabbage and sausage based meal items!

Who else misses Beaver Tails?????:sad2:
Also, anything from Bakery in France!

ME ME I miss the bever tails so bad!:sad2:
However I have found a few other things that get me through the day...
Japan's shaved ice stand, Rice Cream in Norway, Anything from the bakery in France.

Japan - Teriyaki Chicken & Kaki Gori (shaved ice)
France - Glace a la vanille (vanilla ice cream in a waffle cone)

The worst you ever had? You must've had an off day or something because I think they're very good and I'm pretty fussy about my fish and chips. They're not overly breaded and not too greasy.....which makes for good fish and chips!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Shepherd's Pie was back on the menu at R & C in late November/early December. :thumbsup2

Oh my goodness the Napoleon in France was to die for :tongue:

First and foremost - School Bread from Norway, cheap and easily split between two people, the perfect snack.

Cheese Soup - Canada (make it at home as well, so yummy)

Italian Margherita - Italy (love lemoncello)

Mango Margarita - Mexico

Norway bakery treats - all of them!
Cheese soup at Le Cellier.

Still waiting to try a funnel cake!

Fish and chips are yuck! Much better back home in England.

Mexico - churros
Norway - School Bread
Italy - cannoli
France - Napolean

France = chocolate croissants or fruit tarts and poully fuisse (sp?) wine
Germany = BEER & pretzels
Norway = cinnamon rolls
England = fish and chips with a Woodchuck ale
Mexico = fiesta margarita
USA = turkey leg

these are the must have's of every trip (and though it seems like there is a lot of alcohol listed, I promise, I have never been buzzed in Epcot, these samplings occur over different days or during the corse of long day of touring!)

One of my favorites is the Veiled Maiden from Kringla Bakeri og Cafe in Norway. It's a parfait-style snack with layers of chilled apple sauce and whipped cream; very tasty and even refreshing on a warm day.

And I really, really miss Beaver Tails in Canada!
