I realize now that I really missed a lot in EPCOT WS on my last trip. Can you all tell me about your favorite WS performers? We only saw the drum band at Japan and the colonial marchers in America.

What else should we look for?

Thanks!

Check out the Living Statues in Italy and the acrobats in China. The Chinese acrobats are children and they are so cute!

My favorite performers in the WS has to be the British Invasion. They are a beatles tribute band, and they are great! (imho) If you like the Beatles at all you should check this band out.

:rockband:

Off Kilter in Canada is a really good sort of celtic/new age/ rock band.

The British Invasion in the UK is great. As is the comedy troupe.

But my favorite is probably the guy who does the chair balancing in France. He was awesome!

Our favorite was Davy Jones, but he was just there for the Flower Show.

We caught a bit of the Canadian group, the acrobats, the drummers, and I love the singers inside the Amercian Adventure...maybe they are called Voices of Liberty?

There was a steel drum band near the central hub too. They were good.

There's just so much going on!

Karen

I second EsmeraldaX! The guy in France is awesome!

We also really like Off Kilter and The British Invasion and the acrobats in China and the candy lady in Japan!

edited to add - The Voices of Liberty! How did I forget them?! and American Vybe!

Both acts in France, A Chair Act and Le Mime Roland, are wonderful. We adore the Living Statues in Italy and always catch Miyuki the candymaker in Japan several times each trip. Both Voices of Liberty and American Vibe are outstanding vocal groups in America -- I'm not as in to choral music as my dh, but he thinks the Voices are incredible. He also likes the traditional Chinese music (can't think of the name -- it's two women who play inside the lobby of the theater -- but my kids think they are big-time boring. See Off Kilter at least once b/c you've probably never heard anything like them before. The World Showcase Players in Britain are worth watching, but I probably wouldn't plan my schedule around them. The Chinese acrobats are amazing, but I always worry about how those tiny children are being treated.

I'll admit that I didn't think the British Invasion was very good -- singing was a little off and musical skills were not impressive.

I'll bet everyone's favorite is different. I love the comedic team in United Kingdom (World Showcase Players?), while DH loved Off Kilter. Last trip, I stood there trying not to look too bored while he watched Off Kilter, then he watched World Showcase Players and didn't laugh once, while I laughed hysterically.

We absolutely love American Vybe, a group in the American Adventure that performs American standard songs. We like Voices of Liberty as well, but American Vybe is the best. Be sure to check them out!

1) British Invasion in the U.K.
2) Off Kilter in Canada
3) The Living Statues in Italy

Don't miss Off Kilter in Canada - they are fantastic!

Another vote for the World Showcase players..

British Invasion in the UK ROCKS!!!! :rockband:

Also love the Living Statues in Italy...the look on Erich's face when he was about 5 when she moved was priceless! :earseek:

Off Kilter is so great!! And remember, they do several shows in a day and when we were there in Oct 03, all the sets are different so you hear different music each time!!::MinnieMo

Are the times of the shows listed on the park map, or is it a seperate handout.

I'm trying to figure out how in the world I managed to miss nearly everything!

Seeing all the entertainment in the World Showcase is one of my favorite things to do in the World.!:D The ones I never miss are Off Kilter(Jamie is a cutie!),American Vibe and Voices of Liberty, the Chinese acrobats, and the living Statues. They are a must do on every trip. Try to catch them!:bounce: :Pinkbounc

The World Showcase Players in the UK was a favorite of my kids. Corny and cute!

I guess they're not around anymore, but DH and I really enjoyed BELLA FORTUNA in Italy. They were the girls in dresses on wheels that danced!

Sorry they aren't around anymore. :(

I'll bet we watched one of the living statues for 1/2 hour at least last December. He was SO funny, the poses he'd do as people stood in front of him taking pictures. I'd have to say my favorite at Epcot so far.

In addition to those already mentioned, we like the band Morockin (sp?) in Morocco. Kind of a rock, jazz, middle east blend of good musicians & a belly dancer! The act we miss the most is Nova Era. They used to perform modern versions of classical-style music while dressed in costume on the stage in Italy.
