Epcot with a 6yo girl

you're really unlikely to see Aladdin at Akershus (I suspect you mean Jasmine) - it is very cool to meet them (Aladdin and Jasmine) together as they play off of each other (just food for thought)
LOL I did mean Jasmine :)

I think my biggest concern, is if DD meets Jasmine at Akershus, and then again with Aladdin elsewhere in the park, she's pretty intuitive and I worry she might notice a difference? I'd love to meet them together, but this is my concern.

This info may be a bit dated because we haven't been in 4 years but DD (now 12) loved Innovations (?). There was a piggy bank thing that she and my nephew would have done all day if they could've. Also, if it's hot out bring her a change of clothes and go up to the musical fountains. A great break on a hot day. And Spaceship Earth was a hit too.

Good suggestion on the change of clothes :)

meet Alice (UK), meet Belle in her blue dress (france), meet Aladdin and Jasmine.

In some of the different countries the CMs (usually at the kidcot stops) will write your name in their language/ alphabet - that's pretty cool.

The water ride in Mexico

Agreed. Especially Alice! She's a very sweet and fun meet and greet.

The UK Pavilion also hosts the sweetest little Winnie the Pooh meet and greet area in WDW, if she'd be into that :)

You can also get her a "passport' that they sell at the Epcot gift shops and then you take it to each Kidcot station and they help her fill it out for each country. My daughter really enjoyed that on her last trip.

My 6 year old loved soarin. She really enjoyed the worlds section as long as i let her look around at everything. If your dd is into sea animals, ask when they are doing a feeding outside of turtle talk It is very neat and my daughter loved speaking with the man about all of the fish.

We do want to see the princesses at Akershus. It's a good way for us to get a lot of princess M&G's out of the way for the trip. We did CRT last time, so we decided on Akershus this time. Good to know though, just for planning purposes.

Not sure where you are coming from, but we've learned that it takes longer to get to Epcot than you think... and then it takes longer to walk from the front of Epcot to Askerhaus. But, in order to see the princesses in that one hour time slot, you need to be one of the first families in line - they do seat you first come first served, so that's helpful... and to get a picture with Belle in her beautiful yellow dress is DD favorite memory!

At 6 you may be ok with your FP, like others said, Journey into Imagination is a fun play area after the "ride" We try and remember its more about the experiences and not so much about how many rides we do... That's why I like the World Showcase.... We saw Mary Poppins in England shop, as well as Winnie the Pooh! (different times, different days)

I'm starting to plan our Epcot day. We have a breakfast ADR at Akershus, that day (before park opens).

My list so far of must do's:
Test Track
Circle of Life
Nemo
Turtle Talk with Crush
Soaring
Pick a Pearl
Living with the Land
Meet Mulan
Meet Mary Poppins
Illuminations

DD is very much into sea animals, so I know we'll spend time in that area.

Aside from this list, and just walking around and seeing the cool stuff around us, what else might interest 6YO DD at Epcot?
Hello!
I did not go to Akershus for breakfast, but for dinner this past summer. I felt the meal was a perfect speed, not too long, but not too short either. I think we were out of there in less than an hour, after eating a great meal and seeing all of the princesses!. I think you should be fine!

If your daughter likes the other characters at the park, I would try and see them. Pooh and Tigger also meet in UK, and Belle and Beast in France always looks popular. Aurora Alice, Marie, Mary Poppins, Donald in Mexico, and Aladdin &Jasmine also meet throughout. You can also meet some of the classic characters at the EPCOT character spot.

I think just walking around the WS for the day/night is an attraction in itself. I would maybe take a peak in the bakery at France (SOOO good), or the gelato place in Italy for a treat! Also the shops are always fun to look in

Also, i notices you didn't have 3 caballeros listed - usually there is no wait for the ride, and its always fun!
Also, if you want another classic fun but very relaxing ride, go for Spaceship Earth! it's so fun!!! :thumbsup2

Have a great time!:goodvibes

If you are worried about her meeting same characters in different parts of the park, just remember that Jasmine *does* have a magic carpet! The characters are pretty good about those sort of "but wait, weren't you just over there" comments.

I would also take her to the coke tasting area - that's so much fun. When I was little, I loved Spaceship Earth. They have a great play area after the ride too. Germany has a cute toy store, and the caramel shop is not to be missed! You can get Advent calenders in Germany as well as a pickle ornament (It's a German thing!). Mexico pavilion is worth checking out, they have cute little glass figurines which I know I loved to collect when I was little. In fact, I liked that more than pearls. Japan has other things than pearls - they have a huge selection of Hello Kitty stuff which she might like and animation stuff too as well as cute chopsticks, kids rice bowls, Poki sticks and other delicious treats. China is a cool pavilion - they have the Chinese Zodiac stuff, pretty hair stuff and other little things in the shopping area. I wouldn't bother with Italy - the shopping is rather dull and there isn't much there. Morocco is a surprisingly nifty pavilion.

I've added both of these to my list - thanks!

I'm more worried about her noticing they might not be the same person, if you know what I mean

Just got back from Epcot with a 4.5 year old son and 7 year old daughter. Akershus took us about an hour. Once the princesses started coming it was very quick. You can also ask for your check when you know you have about 1-2 princesses left and have that taken care of so you are ready to go. Jasmine is not there most of the time from what I've read. It's Belle, Snow White, Ariel, Aurora and Cinderella.

My kids also loved Figment! And Spaceship Earth - I wouldn't miss either of those. They enjoyed Living with the Land fine, but don't still talk about it. But if time was tight, of the 3, I'd skip Living with the Land. Three Caballeros is also fun if you are in Mexico and need a break from the sun (though, again, I probably wouldn't put it on a 'must do' list if time is an issue).

This is very helpful, thanks! And good to know about Jasmine, if we don't see her there, we'll see her with Aladdin
