Epcot - Where are the Attractions?

I think it's because they really remember Test Track, so that in itself makes the park stand out.

Hollywood Studios didn't seem to have a ton of attractions last time. DH and DS will love the new Star Wars stuff, but not sure if it's something we'd want to do twice (esp DD an I). And AK didn't interest us last time....although it is one of our parks this time ...esp with FOP and Navi as those look really cool.
Well, currently park pass reservations aren’t booking up as quickly as they were a few months ago, so hopefully when you’re there you’ll be able to change things around if your family changes their minds.

AK is my favorite park, by far!! Though it was long before Pandora, that definitely made it even better. HS has a ton to do. I would easily spend a second day at either of these parks (really both) before considering a second Epcot day. It seems that others have chimed in on the several rides you missed at Epcot in your first post, but I would try them all if you can!

Thanks for the replies. Will look again at the rides at each park and then re-evaluate if Epcot is still the one that we want to repeat. We could even do MK 3 times and the other three parks once, but doesn't feel very balanced. (although we are booked at Contemporary so logistically this would work)

My upcoming trip we aren't planning any days in Epcot. We will do other parks during the day and then go to Epcot in the evening for dinner and a ride or two.

Epcot was our favorite, but we have 0 reservations for it either this trip. With so much unfinished construction, no international CM's- it's lost it's charm for us right now. We do have plans for an evening hop to see the Epcot Forever, but that's it.

Not a fan of TT or Soarin', but Frozen is good. Epcot will be back eventually, it just isn't right now for us.

Epcot’s a two or more day park for us. We do one full day in future world and one full day in world showcase, and will hop occasionally on other evenings back there for dinner. We use the two full Epcot days as sleep-in days, since WS opens late and we don’t find it necessary to rope drop FW.It’s my favorite park, but there is a lot of construction going on now. And Epcot has never been about the rides, it’s more about experiences. I miss all the old stuff they’ve taken out and I’m not thrilled with the IP direction everything is taking in Epcot, but it still has a special place in my heart.

I think with fastpass it was a 2 day park because of the stupid tiers...so if you wanted to ride the headliners...you needed two days...and before tiers...it was the size...the guidebooks recommended taking one day for each half of the park...my plan absent Fastpass is to hop to it. I love Soarin and Frozen and the smaller rides plus all the amazing food/drink options...but I’m not going to be upset if I miss any of the rides now...

If your son is tied into being a teenager, than Spaceship Earth, Mission Space, Test Track and Sorin will probably be all he'll agree to experience. However, if you can talk him into understanding that he's away from his friends and no one will be there to judge him, he might enjoy Nemo's Ride, the Eco Earth Experience in the Land, and Frozen. Of course there is also the 360's in Canada, France and China. Epcot has more to offer than the front, which is largely scrims currently. To avoid the scrims, which has the park seemingly closed, we take a bus to BC/BW from the Springs and enter from the back. If you're able to use the Skyline, then entering from the back is also a choice.

If the last time you visited was before 2017, HS has changed a lot. Toy Story Land and Galaxy's Edge have significantly increased the numbers of rides in the park.

Epcot would only be 2 days IMO if you were spending a lot of time in the countries or with festival activities. If just looking at riding rides, HS would be my pick for a a duplicate park (after MK of course).

FOP is one of the best rides in Disney history in my opinion ::yes::

The films shown in France are presented in a conventional flat-screen theater with a seated audience.

Thanks for the responses. It helps. I'll need to research more what is at World Showcase as we mostly focused on Future World last time. Our trip is next summer so hopefully construction will be done by then.

Yes, those tiers are a pain and limiting. Last time it worked for us as we ended up adding another half day so we could FastPass TestTrack one day and Soarin on the other. Am assuming FP will return by Aug 2022, but then who knows where Remy will fit in.

So for others, I'm guessing that most would select HS as the park to visit more than once (aside from MK)?

I am a spreadsheet and planning person...so I will mark all the rides at each park and then we can decide with our kids. I guess at worst case, we can always book Epcot 2x and then change while we are there to another park if they did everything after day 1. Downside would be that FP would most likely be gone for headliners.

P.S. - We loved Figment. Found it quite funny.
P.P.S. - I also see that there is a Moana attraction coming that sound interesting, if it's here by next summer.

I would not assume Epcot construction will be done next summer. I would also not assume that FP+ as you know it will be around next summer.

Last trip we spent a pretty full day at Epcot (9am-7ish pm) and didn't even do most of world showcase (we only went as far as Mexico for the ride). We ended up adding a park day to our departure day (we weren't leaving until 9pm) and when I asked my kiddos (10 and 8 at the time) which park they wanted go back to, they both said Epcot! We spent another 4 hours there on departure day, again just in Future World. Rode Soarin and TT each 3-4 times. They loved it! So, it can definitely be a two day park, given that there was a TON we didn't do in that day and a half. If we had done a second full day, we could have made it around world showcase, etc....my kids are determined to do it next time!
The good thing about Epcot is it's the last two fill up for park reservations, so maybe book a second day at HS but know that if you get everything done there and want to revisit Epcot, you likely will be able to switch it? HS was a very short day for us last time but it was right before TSL opened and obviously now it has TSL and SWGE! Much more to do.

Epcot is a half day park for us. WE like TT, Soarin and SE. That's it for Must Do's. Nemo, LwtL, Frozen are ok. The walk around the countries is long and boring, if you don't like to shop. We enjoy the restaurants.

Maybe. We’re older and love FoP, so I’ve been booking 2 days at AK (to ride FoP, EE and Safari and walk the animal trails) and 2 days at MK (to ride all our favorites). We’ve experienced RotR enough times now that we can leave it for others to get BGs, and we don’t really enjoy MFSR, but we love Slinky Dog, Toy Story, RnR and now MMRR, so we may start booking two days at DHS. We have APs and can hop to Epcot, where we don’t ride Soarin’ because it’s too sad to remember the much-better original and rarely ride TT, so don’t have to worry about long standby lines for the things we do ride there.
