Epcot to Poly Question

Sorry if this has been posted somewhere, but please help if you can.

We will be driving to Epcot for our first park day. When the park closes at 9, I wanted to take my husband to look around the Poly. I want to show him to see if he would like to stay there on the next trip (I stayed there years ago, but he never has).

Anyway, I thought of leaving the car at Epcot, then taking the monorail to TTC, then on to Poly.

These are my questions:

1. Would it be best instead to drive to TTC and not leave the car at Epcot? We won't be staying at the Poly for very long, but I wonder if the monorail will still be running to back Epcot (will we be able to get back to our car if we leave it at Epcot after closing)?

2. Can you walk from the TTC to the Poly without getting on another monorail, or would we need to get on the monorail "loop" ? I can't remember.

3. OR, would it be better just to drive over to the Poly (we are a resort guest this time - just not at the Poly). I wouldn't want to take up someone's parking spot if parking is tight there - although we wouldn't be there probbably more than 30 minutes.

Advice please!

Thanks!:goodvibes

Easiest would be just to drive to the Poly. Just tell the security guard you are coming to look at the resort for a future visit - should be no problem.

My second choice would be just to leave the car at the TTC all day and monorail to Epcot, then monorail back to the TTC when you're done. You can walk to the Poly Grand Ceremonial House from the TTC in about 10 minutes. There's a path at the edge of the parking lot that takes you into the Poly grounds.

Didn't think of parking at TTC. Good idea.

I could also just try driving and if they say I can't park there for some reason (parking lot is full or whatever), I could try another night. Was just thinking of Epcot day since we could just hop the monorail without moving the car, but didn't think about what could happen if we can't get the monorail BACK to Epcot!

Our MK day would probably be the best day, but we can never get everything done we want to in that park anyway, let alone leaving to tour a resort.

Thanks for the feedback!

I'd just drive. Not worth the hassle of messing around with the monorail.

I would drive- unless it is the 4th of July or a night of NYE fireworks you will have no problem being let in at 9:00 PM by the Poly security guards to park.

I've never had a problem parking at a resort if I just tell the guard I want to look around.

If it were me, I would just start the day at the TTC and take the monorail to Epcot and then back again at the end of day...tour the Polynesian and then walk back to the TTC and drive away.

Since you have a car I say it would easier to drive from Epcot to the Polynesian. Also you don't need to worry about parking because this past December when my family and I went there to eat at the Kona Island Sushi Bar that's what we told the Cast Member working at the guard shack, because the Sushi Bar doesn't take ADR's and we wouldn't be on a list like they have for Ohana, Kona Cafe and the Polynesian Luau.
