What is the current quickest way to get from the front of Epcot to the MK? We have park hoppers. I realize the monorail would take us around to the TTC but I am trying to avoid the second transfer to the monorail or ferry to the MK. Is there a bus that goes directly to the Contemporary and we could walk over? I know from the International Gateway the most direct route would be Beach Club bus to MK. I'm wondering about from the front of Epcot.

Thanks!

I guess you could take the bus from EPCOT to CR and then walk to MK.

Take the bus to the CR...then walk to MK via the sidewalk. The walkway runs beneath the monorail track and tales under 10 mins to walk.

I would be careful with the advice to take a bus from Epcot to Disney's Contemporary Resort and then walk to Magic Kingdom. Is this really possible now?

Unless something has changed recently, Disney's Contemporary is served by three bus routes:
Disney's Hollywood Studios
Animal Kingdom / Blizzard Beach
Downtown Disney / Typhoon Lagoon
The purpose of the Epcot Monorail is to connect Epcot with the Magic Kingdom and the resorts around Seven Seas Lagoon (including Disney's Contemporary) -- with a transfer point at TTC.

I wonder if they will add a bus line to the MK resorts from Epcot while the resort monorail is down. I think that would be the only way you might be able to take a bus from Epcot to CR.

Is there a bus from Epcot to the contemporary? I didn't think that there was.

The last few times I've been to Epcot, there was only a bus to the MK resorts when the monorail was down. I suppose if you really wanted to avoid the TTC, you could take the bus to another resort and then bus to MK, but that isn't really going to save you time. You could also take a taxi from Epcot to CR and then walk to MK (if you ask to be taken to the MK, the taxi will drop you off at the TTC).

I was thinking that the monorail would be down. Probably not a good assumption. Sorry!

I suppose that was the essence of my question, is there a bus directly from the front of Epcot to the Contemporary. Sounds like typically no.

Thanks!

Typically, no. The monorail is the method guests are expected to use when going between Epcot and the MK resorts. It's really not that bad making the switch over. You can always take the Express line to MK....the fastest method.

Monorails to run on shortened schedule
Beginning 1/21/14, the Magic Kingdom resort and Express monorails will be unavailable on weekdays between the hours of 11:30am to 7:00pm. This is a planned maintenance and will be in effect until the end of March 2014. There will be extra watercraft and buses available.

The Epcot monorail will run as usual.

So that means now between those hours, if you're coming from Epcot by monorail you choice from the TTC to MK is either ferry or bus. Hopefully it won't be too much longer to get there b/c I like to hop between the two as well. I wonder about taking a bus from Epcot to WL & taking the boat over to MK?

I was just trying to make the transfer on one transportation move. Looks like I'll head to the Beach Club and grab the MK bus there.
