epcot royal english garden tour

During the current Epcot festival this garden tour is offered in England. Has anyone done this and what did you think of it?

Also are there any thought on afternoon tea for two adults at gf? Did you enjoy it?

We did the shorter tour, English Tea Garden Presented by Twinings of London, which was very interesting - and fun. They take you around the garden and explain a history of Twinings tea, beginning with black tea and building from there. There were only 6 people total in our group, so it was very nice to be able to ask the CM's from the UK pretty specific questions about tea - they were very pleasant and knowledgable.

The Royal Tea Garden tour is longer, and happens before World Showcase is open. There is a fee, but it's 45 minutes long, and you get tea and scones at the end. For the above tour, they did give us some tea bag samples.

We did it back in March. It was quiet and lovely in the gardens.....but a lot of the information about the plants is located on signs right there next to them. The CMs were able to give us more background information about the Twinings company, and some comments about pop culture with tea in the UK. After the tour they escorted us into the store and we chose a tea bag to sample, picked up our container of biscuits and scones, and went outside to have a seat. I will say that it was all rather rushed at the end. You are kind of just guided into the store and told to pick up your stuff and go. You could of course always go over to the patio seating area at the restaurant and enjoy the lake view while you munch. Still, for the low cost of the tour we were not unhappy with it.

I did the Royal Garden tour solo a few weeks ago. I really enjoyed it. The 2 ladies who did the tour were very knowledgeable and seemed to enjoy doing it.
I didn't care much for the one of the scones at the end but did love the tea I chose. I ended up buying a box of it - Buttermint.

I did enjoy the other scone - I can't remember which was which now. I also did it first thing in the morning and that's when I realized I'm not so much a morning person anymore when I had to get up and make it to Epcot in time for the tour. LOL
