EPCOT or MK on Sunday, 4/23?

We arrive on Sunday for a quick trip. We do not have park hoppers.

My ds18 really wants to visit Epcot first to ride Test Track. I think visiting Epcot first would be nice, as the boys have not been to Disney in several years and we could save Magic Kingdom for Monday.

BUT....Uncover tourist recommends against visiting Epcot on Sunday and suggests Magic Kingdom instead.

Any thoughts?

I would go to Epcot 1st too, it's easier to start a trip at that park then at MK. & MK is always crowded so going there on a week day is my recommendation.

Test Track still has FPs available for 4/23. You should check on your total FP availability for Epcot before you decide.

The only thing about Epcot on the 23rd is you may have some bottlenecks upon entering early in the day as the dark side stragglers finish

I think the reason Undercover Tourist recommends not going to EPCOT is because there are evening EMH that day. And there's also the point about the half marathon finishing there in the morning. I do have park hoppers, so I'm actually going to MK in the morning and then EPCOT in the afternoon and evening that day! So I think EPCOT will be fine, especially if you're interested in staying there till 11 for EMH.

Part of the logic may be that Magic Kingdom is always busiest on Saturdays and Mondays. I've heard Epcot is generally busier on Sundays. We aren't going until June, but I am doing MK on the Sunday and Epcot/DHS split on the Monday.

However, if Epcot Sunday and MK Monday is preferable to you, make a plan and go with it!
