HI all going to Disney May 4th-9th Ahhaha. Anyway haha going with 5yr old and 10month old. We DONT have park hopper, and want to make the most of our trip. Quick question. I loved Epcot when I was little, and haven't been back since I was like 10. We land at Disney at like 1045am, god willing we don't get delayed. Planning on heading over to Epcot late afternoon/evening. Rest of the next three days are spoken for, and we were planning on spending the last full day at Hollywood studios. Question, should we skip Hollywood studios and go back to Epcot that day? I hear that Epcot is more kid friendly now, and there's lots to do and see, and lots of characters ect. Or do u think the half day is enough the first day? I'm afraid we won't get to Epcot early enough to see all the characters, I heard they stop showing around 430-5. My daughter does like Disney jr, and toy story and beauty and the beast and all that jazz, but would that just feel like a repeat of magic kingdom?? I already have the Toy story ride, disney Jr and Ariel fastpasses at HS, so will we basically be wasting at whole day at a park that will only take half a day? I'm torn! I don't want to be selfish and just go back to Epcot bc I love it. Lol but I don't want to have to rush through it either and not have the option of going back if my daughter loved it and missed a lot! Thoughts?!

I love HS with younger kids so I wouldn't skip it. It is not a repeat of MK. However, you might be able to get through HS on the shorter day and save Epcot for your longer day.

Why don't you go to Hollywood Studios your first half day and then spend your last full day at EPCOT. With fastpass you could do TSM and Disney Jr. You would love Fantasmic, so I'd use my 3rd fastpass for that.

I have to agree with this. You could do all you wanted to do at HS in the half day. My DD loves Disney Junior especially Doc and Sophia. If y want to guarantee seeing them begin your trip with a Hollywood and Vine lunch. You see all the Disney jr. Characters there... Well at least Jake, Sophia, and Doc (one more I can't remember) that means no waiting in line to see them later :-)

I would leave Epcot for a whole day. Belle in France is always really awesome. Milan in China was a ton of fun too. Hope this helps.

I agree. EPCOT is a whole day. There is a lot to do at DHS, too, but I think you can get through it quicker.

Personally, I'd skip Fantasmics and do some of the other rides/character greets. It eats up a lot of time, in my opinion.

I also agree with this. I wouldn't skip a park, especially if it is someone's first time in Disney because you never know which will be a favorite. That being said EPCOT is a lot larger place than HS (I have yet to explore all of EPCOT because I always run out of time in one day). So given the choice between a full day in one and a half day in the other I would give EPCOT the full day and HS the half. FP+ is a benefit in this situation since you can assure that you will be able to hit the must rides in HS even if there is a delay getting to the park.

Thanks everyone! Switched the fastpasses and going to HS the first arrival half day! Fastpassed Disney JR, toy story mania and little mermaid (I had to choose between toy story and the fireworks boooo, went with toy story bc I know the line there is insane, and who knows if we will make it to the fireworks haha) doing full day at Epcot! 24 more days!! :D
