Epcot on Marathon Day?

We arrive late on the 7th and we're planning on sleeping in on the 8th, having a late breakfast at Ohana and then spending the afternoon at Epcot. Just realized it's Marathon Day, will Epcot be crazy or not so much? Anyone have any thoughts?

We've gone to Epcot on Marathon Day in past years and it hasn't been busy at all. I can't remember the time, I want to say around 9:30am, we were heading in the parks as the last runners were finishing up. You shouldn't have any problems.

It isn't busy at all... Just allow your self a little extra time getting from one side of futureworld to the other (because it is roped off and everyone has to cross in a little unroped spot.... that is the ONLY problem

Wow... can you imagine if the Monorail ever gets built out to all of the parks and major resorts?

Thanks for the good news about epcot on marathon day. I was worried I would have to totally avoid MK and Epcot over that weekend. And I was getting a little sad about not getting to save one of those parks for the end of the trip (we leave florida on the 9th) ! I love AK and US, but I always have to do either MK or Epcot last...b/c those are always my favorite memories!

Parts of the parking lot of Epcot will be closed off but there should still be plenty of room to park. By 1:00 everything will be winding down so it should start clearing up. We didn't have any problems last year with any of the parks.
