There is no official date from Disney. Rumors right now are saying Summer. With some rumors of soft openings in the Spring.

But with no official words, its all really up in the air.

I know i would probably find the answer in another thread, but could someone BRIEFLY tell me what Mission space is all about??

And is this the new attraction that I've heard which is going to replace Spaceship Earth (not the structure itself- just the ride part!).

Mission: Space is replacing Horizons in EPCOT. Its built between Test Track and the Life Pavilion.

It is supposed to simulate blasting in to space and weightlessness, with some sort of interactive Space Mission.

There are no details available yet.

Replacing the Spaceship Earth ride is still in the rumor category. I have yet to see anything official from Disney about it.

It's a new ride at Epcot, but I don't think it is intended to replace Spaceship Earth.

I got some pics from the outside. They were quite a few "suits" roaming in and around the attraction the day I was there. From the outside it looks pretty neat.

I hope it does open this year as we are going back in November

do you guys think its going to be like a "Star Wars"or a "Back to the Future" type ride? I hope not? I have a feeling its going to be a barf o rama I cant walk Im dizzy kind of ride.
Anyone know?

I have seen a countdown timer for the opening of mission space. I have to go searching again to find it but it seemed that it was ticking down to a May 03 date. Once I find it I'll post that site so you all can see it too!
