hi .. i am going to wdw mid october and planned on going to parks on weekdays and kind of relaxing (no parks) on weekend, but according to the unofficial disney book i bought, it says that epcot is best to go to on sat or sun because during sept and oct, epcot is "inundated" with kids from school trips....is this true??? i cant imagine that the weekends would be better than weekdays....thanks:earsgirl:

It is absolutely true!
We went one year when school was in session and Epcot was mobbed during a weekday with shcool children.
We have always found that Sunday is a nice quiet day at Epcot.

Sorry, I disagree. With the Food & Wine Festival going on, locals tend to come out on weekends. We've found that especially the World Showcase is less crowded on weekdays.

Just an FYI, both my kids have field trips there in October.

Any other experiences or opinions on best epcot day? i was planning on going thursday oct 14, but would saturday the 16th be better? OR should i spend a whole day at World Showcase on thursday(do you need the whole day for this?) and then see other part of epcot(part with earth and living seas) on Saturday? The response from Figment 2 seems to suggest that world showcase is not the areas that the schoolkids go to during the week and i was planning on spending at least a day and a half at epcot....please offer some more insight from all the experiences many of you disney lovers have had.....thanks so much :earsgirl: :wave2:

I think it depends on when you are going..we usually have found very few crowds at epcot on the weekends ( on the other hand, from our last trip's experience i think everyone in the entire state of FL is packed into MK on Sats. :)!) but that probably is not true during food and wine or maybe the flower show

we usually spent 1-1 1/2 days and 1-2 evenings at epcot..if you want to try the different f&w offerings, maybe go a few times to sample things for a meal. it's a lot of walking and i think would take a significant part of an entire day to see all the movies, shops and some of the shows in WS alone with out food and wine.( guessing since we have never really done it that way, since we like to eat there we usually kind of break it up )
