Hey all,

We will be traveling to WDW in late June (not the week of July 4) and will be heading to EPCOT on our first day and we are not staying on site.
Obviously there is not way to know for sure, but what do we think the odds are we will be able to get FP for Soarin' and Frozen in the afternoon if we try and book them right away?

When your 30 day FP booking window opens, try to book Soarin’ OR Frozen. They are Tier 1 FP Attractions and you can only pre-book 1 of these.

See the FP FAQ Sticky.

I'm pretty sure that Soarin' will be completely booked ahead of time by your 30 day mark, but my understanding is that it is a very doable rope drop. We have a Frozen Ever After FP for late May, and just a couple of days ago I logged into MDE and was able to move that time up a bit, so I feel like you may have a better chance of getting it ahead of time. So maybe book Frozen FP, and rope drop Soarin'?

Do we think the lines will be remotely manageable to be able to wait on a small line for frozen?

If you rope drop you should be able to do one of them. If not, I doubt you will find a FP for either at the 30 day mark. We head down June 20 and already have our FP booked. It's a popular time to be in the parks and most top tier FP will be gone so I recommend RD in order to get on whatever you want to see. IMO...RD Frozen and do standby for Soarin. The Frozen line seems to take forever.

Yes, absolutely. As noted you can do it at rope drop if you're there that early. Or you can do it at park close...we've done it many times. The lines are nearly non-existent.

I'll disagree with the above post. Summer is actually "slower" than other times of year at WDW. It's been surprisingly nice the past several summers as far as crowds go. You may or may not find a FP+ at the 30 day mark (we're offsite people too), but you'll have a very good chance of getting one day of.

Crowd wise the park will be busy (as well as all other parks) due to the summer season, rule of thumb is that any time schools are on break expect WDW parks to be busy. As stated by pp, while you may not be able to get a FP+ for the e-tickets it is still doable same-day as either a 4th FP or if you go late in the evening once the crowds have shifted towards WC, also if you don't mind missing Illuminations, right before park close is also a good time, IMO I do not believe RD is necessary unless it is already part of your touring plan to do that..

I don’t know why people are telling you that you won’t get fastpasses for Soarin’ and FEA etc at 30 days because that’s not true at all. We go that time of year every year, never stay on site and can easily get fastpasses for whatever we want at 30 days. The only one we had trouble with last year was FOP but we still managed to get some for it at 26 days because Disney released more.

We’ve always managed to get Soarin’, FEA and TT as rolling 4th, 5th and 6th etc passes on the day in June/July.

Right now I'm looking at my FP list on MDE, and I don't see a time available for May 31st, but it could be that my party of six is limiting my options.

We are going the first week of June - I just logged into the MDE App, and acted like I wanted to modify my Test Track FP -- it would have let me pick Frozen or Soarin at 2 pm.
Our current plan is to RD Frozen, FP Test Track, then get Soarin as a 4th FP after lunch
