Beacuse of their location that is the only way into Epcot for that resort. The Yacht and Beach Club, Boardwalk and Swan and Dolphin use the International Gateway for their entrance. They will be open for you at the same time as the main entrance opens. Once you enter they will have a rope up so you can't go over the bridge to France you have to head towards Great Britian. There will be CM's there directing you towards Furture World. They will have CM's and a rope blocking off World Showcase by Canada so that other guests can not go that way. If you need to get back to the hotel before WS opens you just need to show your resort ID card to the CM's that are at the rope by Canada and they will let you pass.
