Epcot free souvenirs and activities

Hey everyone,

This is my first time posting on this website, so if this post is in the wrong place, sorry

I am going to disneyworld epcot the end of June 2013. This is my first time ever going to a disney park, so i am not really sure what to expect.
I have been researching the parks and decided that epcot is the one for me. I will be travelling with my cousin who is in her 20's - also her first time at disneyworld.

My question is if anyone knows of any free souvenirs or cheap things to do in epcot? also any tips on must do things would be helpful too please

So far i have heard you can:
get the pennies for a quarter/50 cent?
get a Disney badge at the guest relations place,
there is the kidcot stations - wondering if we can do them? - we are really just big kids
I have read that you can sometimes make free stuff in the imaginations?
i have read about magic moments certificates that are given out randomly
I have heard that there are monorail collectors cards you can get
Free stickers handed out at random
wondering if we are to old to ask for characters autographs?

If anyone else can add anything extra to this
Not sure if any of these are run anymore, haven't been able to find a 2012/2013 post about this.

I just really want to find as many souvenirs/momentos as possible to make a scrapbook out of - this is my present for my 18th birthday and so i want to remember it

Ps. Have read up about the photos and was wondering if they can still be bought at the park? or is it just online using the photopass thing?

I make passports for my kids. (A small scrap booked book with about 10 pages) They take them to all the kidcot stops in the countries and the CM write in different languages and write their names in that language too. It's a lot of fun and is a great souvenir to take home!

You are never too old to get autographs! You can either buy a book or make one yourself. I usually make one with a specific page for each character. There is a wonderful thread in the Creative Dis about making your own book. Go check it out!

I have done that too! I found some trip books at Target that look like passports that I am going to get for next time. I am thinking of getting tiny envelopes to glue in on a couple pages too for putting in pressed pennys, tickets, and other small things.

This isn't free but it is cheap and fun. Go on ebay and buy some Disney Pins
and trade with the workers. Make sure the pins you buy have the Disney trademark on them.
Read up on Pin trading to see if this is of interest to you.

That is a really good idea i will have to try and locate passports so i can print them off. does anyone know where i could get these from?

Be sure to go to the Animation Academy at Hollywood Studios. This is a free class taught by a WDW animator, and is supposed to be really fun! Classes are held every half hour.

According to the DIS (I'm paraphrasing here!), the animators give away the drawings they do in class -- usually to kids, but sometimes to adults. Don''t be afraid to ask for it - it's a rare souvenir!

this is the greatest idea ever we used an old locking diary I had since high school that I never used (I graduated in 1994) its got tons of pages of course the lock no longer has the key but I can still open it with a screw driver . Blank books available at almost every bookstore and sometimes at walmart, target, etc make great autograph books too.

As a side note we are part of the Disney Movie Club and sometimes they send stickers which we use for the autograph pages

My son still has the plastic robot he made for free at the imagination pavilion (?) in Epcot in 2007! So fun and a great take away! Do they still do those things? My daughter was a baby then and wants to make one to be like her big brother when we go this time!

Club Cool- Stop by Club Cool in Future World to enjoy free soda samples from around the world. It's a good time and fun to watch everybody's faces as they sample the variety of flavors.

Agent P's World Showcase Adventure- This activity is free and fun for kids of all ages! Formerly known as Kim Possible, you and your team of Agents will receive a phone and proceed to solve crimes around world showcase. It is free and on some missions you will be given items to keep from cast members as part of the fun! It's free and each country has several different missions which are loaded at random.

Apparently there are "masks" of Duffy and Agent Perry that kids can colour and take through the showcase, but I've read that adults can take them and they make great fans in the heat.

Not only monorail... All transportation forms. There's also "Sorcerers of Disney" to collect

There is a ton of stuff that you can get for free throughout all of the parks. There is an awesome thread here out should have a look at.

Not sure what you mean photos. You can buy the photo pass online before you go for much cheaper. But you can also get the photographers to use your own camera for pics.
