Epcot FP+ tiers gone...for now.

The feedback Disney is getting through surveys and guests experience comments is overwhelming positive. A very vocal minority on forums is not going to be enough to warrant any major change.

They 2 survey's I've participated in since the "testing" of FP+ gave no ability to even share displeasure. Only if there were problems and if it eventually worked out. Not even how long it took.

So IMO if they are showing overwhelmingly positive it's only because they are skewed to show that. My few random conversations at the parks never produced someone that was jumping for joy. And I wasn't bringing it up. Maybe I only ran into the negative experiences but somehow I'm just a little doubtful of that as well.

I don't see how a guest would expect Disney to honor a clear mistake that guest wants to take advantage of, no matter how trivial.

How about the first time vacationer who happened to be planning their FP+ when this happened. They don't know the about this glitch. So why wouldn't they expect Disney to honor their selections? So some people got some FP+ for rides they shouldn't have...who cares(and good for them);)

what if a guest was not aware and did this by mistake?

now 9pm rolls around and they go try to use their last of three fp+. do they only get two?

I think this should work the way it works if a store makes a mistake in ads and print the wrong price. If the mistake is one that a typical person wouldn't realize it was a mistake, the store has to honor it.

Ooops, should have read a little more :thumbsup2

IRL I know 4 people who have gone with only MB and FP+(no legacy) and none of them loved it. They had big issues(one got FP for the day and CM dinner for free it was so bad). One was a first timer and she said WDW wasn't for them. Too much hassle, planning and didn't work. Do I think this means the majority of people feel this way..no, but I do think WDW should worry about this.

I'm giggling a little to myself at the idea of Disney not honouring the un-tiered FP selections. Some of you guys would die at how many blue Mickeys I saw go through the FP lines on our trip without the CM's even batting an eye.

"Do you have a FP for this?" "Yes." "Okay, just go through." And that's only when a CM noticed and said something. We saw many people just walk through with blue and nobody said anything.

Honestly, I might just try this during our trip and see what the % of walk-on is. Should be an interesting study.

Not true, thank goodness. The law protects honest merchants who make honest mistakes from jerks who want to profit from their mistake.

But in any event, not relevant. Some people will rationalize getting away with something when Disney makes a mistake, and others will do the right thing. It's small potatoes, and will disappear and have very little effect. Both sides will feel good about what they did. And life goes on, with thousands of people having fun at WDW every day.

Guess I'm "some people." How is it rationalizing to get fp's with what I thought was another Disney experiment? Now, I am really starting to feel stressed. I have ghost fp's, so I have to remember my slip of paper with the times of my "real" fp's. And now, I don't even know if my fp's are legitimate.

I don't think you should be stressed at all. Disney has not announced this was a mistake and either canceled the extra FP+ in the 1st tier, or asked anyone to give them back. We don't even know why it happened (glitch or test).

If they asked for them back since it was a mistake, that would be one thing. But they haven't; comments about that were only speculation about something that almost surely won't happen.

Don't stress! Go to WDW, bring your FP reservations, and you will enjoy the rides! Disney is intricate, complicated, and overwhelming, and many (especially first time visitors) can stress over it. You can plan down to the minute, or you can show up, walk around, enjoy many many exhibits and parades and characters and rides, and have a wonderful time.

Yay! Tiers are back!

Said almost no one ever.

Seriously. I will never understand why some are happy about less flexibility. Why would someone be gleeful about Disney disallowing a fp for two headliners? I just don't get it :confused3.

Well, I'm going to try :goodvibes. I love Disney and have enjoyed so many completely stress free vacations there. I just feel so unsettled about all of this.

Because those people probably tour the parks differently than you. :confused3

Seriously. It was a joke.

I think the ones liking less flexibility are the ones wanting to sleep in and stroll into the parks mid-afternoon and have as many options available to them as possible. If that means limiting the ones who get up and arrive at the parks early, then they are all for it.

Yes, I guess there is some of that :goodvibes. It just doesn't seem logical. Limiting me, limits them too, doesn't it? At least with tiering. Being able to ride Soarin' and Test Track in the late afternoon is a dream come true for those who enjoy sleeping in.

They are used to getting less already by arriving so late.

you mean more flexibility. you can now be flexible about the time you enter a park and ride TSMM without a standby. flexibility has increased. :thumbsup2

Disney is intricate, complicated and overwhelming????? In 30+ years of going to Disney -- with and without legacy (?) fast pass, I never found that to be the case.
How disappointing that something that will benefit so many has made it so. The benefit so many phrase is sarcasm in case it's not recognized as such.
Bummer.
:worried:
:(
