Hello!

I'm curious about your Epcot FP+ strategies. I'm sure most arrive at RD and ride Soarin or Test Track, and then use FP for the other.

We aren't rope drop people. We will be at Epcot for F&W and tend to start later in the day so we are there for Illuminations.

If you aren't there for RD, is it possible to ride Soarin and TT in one day?
Do you suggest getting a Soarin FP and trying the single rider line for TT?

Just wondering what the best recommended strategy is with FP+ tiered system.

Thanks!

what I would do in your situation; FP Soarin' and do TT as a single rider. The second option is, if you are willing to skip Illumonations, is to do one or the other at the end of the night. Wait times drop quite a bit then and are usually overstated.

Another option is to go ahead and schedule two FPs for any random attraction for as early in the morning as you can, then schedule a FP for Soarin' or Test Track for whatever time you plan on getting to the park.

Once your three FP windows have passed, you can add a FP at a kiosk, and hopefully you'll be able to add TT or Soarin' (depending on which one you chose earlier) later in the day. Since you plan to stick around for Illuminations anyway, that likely won't be a problem so long as you get to the park like mid to late morning. You don't really need a FP for anything else at Epcot so you won't miss the other FPs you burned up in this strategy.

We did that back in May with no issues, but you might be running a risk on timing and availability for that added FP if the crowds are bigger.

My plan is get FP for TT and try to get a 4th for soarin when my 3 are burned (which should be around noon). If they aren't available I'll just wait in line.

I was going to suggest this as well. Only hiccup here would be is if you are trying to add the 4th FP at the kiosk late in the afternoon. I'd imagine Soarin and TT would be gone by then.

Another thing you can consider is if you are staying at the resort and you attend on a day with Evening EMH at EPCOT, do the one that you did not do during EMH. Line moves faster as there are no FPs. Plus you can say to yourself that is the one thing you will do for EMH and leave the park afterwards regardless of line length.

Thanks for all of the good suggestions!

I think we will just have to see how it goes. We will have hoppers and if we miss something we will just have to go back.

I prefer TT over Soarin, but historically aren't lines for TT shorter? May make sense to FP Soarin.

Much.
If Soarin' says 80 minutes, it will be every bit of it.
TT gives you the single rider option.. and even if you stick to the normal line it's never as long as Soarin'.

Both are easy wait options though. Entire queue is indoors (bless Epcot).

We waited 80 for Soarin' as our "final" ride, last day.. we grabbed a cookie/snack and drink from the quickserv in The Land, ate/drank them in line while we waited.

This is our plan. We have 2 EPCOT days planned. On the first one I will FP Soarin and when we have used all 3 of ours then I will try for the fourth for TT but will wait in line if its not to long. On our second day I will FP TT and try for Soarin either at RD or as our 4th. At least this way we will have done each at least once during our trip and these 2 are our must does at EPCOT. :)

With the option to get a 4th FP at a kiosk now, I think it will work to go on both Soarin and TT on the same day. We are not rope droppers either and what I've done is schedule 2 early morning FP's that we may or may not make it to;) and Soarin is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. or so. Right when we get off Soarin, I plan and hope to get a TT FP at a kiosk. We are staying at BC, so if the TT FP is later at night, we will just walk back to BC for afternoon swimming and then back to Epcot for TT, dinner, Illuminations.....

TT also has the more interactive queue, so that's the one I'd opt for in standby if I had to.
