EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, Sept. 25 - Nov 16 2015

The above referenced link captures most of the info. A few other tidbits:
  • 20 new (or re-imagined) food items; 20 new beverages
  • In addition to 2 previously mentioned Future World kiosks associated with The Chew there will be a wine and cheese area focused on creating pairings with wines on tap
  • Lots of 20th anniversary merchandise including a special F&W label chardonnay from Napa and a Cabernet from Pasa Robles
  • No "premium package" this year but a tasting sampler package for $59 includes 8 entitlements for food or beverage at 30 F&W marketplaces (guessing is restricted to certain kiosks), priority seating at 6:45pm Eat to the Beat and limited release pin available in 3 color options
  • The $15 culinary demos weren't described in detail... my guess is we've seen the last of the celeb chefs doing these.
Happy to try to answer any questions. It was a fun event. I'm looking forward to Food & Wine!!

Oh and forgot... a special "Yelloween" (spelling?) event on Halloween to be held in the World Showplace with "champagne flowing"

Has anyone done the culinary adventures in signature dining? My family and friends will be leaving on Sept. 30th, and I'll be at WDW until Oct. 2nd. I'd love to do one of the dinners on Sept. 30th or Oct. 1st. Is it like a chef's table, where you are seated with others?

The tasting sampler package actually sounds like a good deal since it includes priority seating at a concert. We may have to consider that for one evening. Not sure how popular Wilson Phillips will be, but we are excited to see them! :-)

Thanks for all the great info!

...I hadn't realized that it might be hot in WS in the afternoon - we are going in late October - but I guess it can still be rather warm that time of year? Agree that we probably won't enjoy the food as much if it was very warm outside. I realize now that I'll have to approach the festival like a "regular" park day - I guess my initial idea was that we could just stroll around and take it slow and casual...
I wouldn't worry too much about it being hot during the day in late October. Early October? YES.. much higher chance of it being sweltering (avg high temp near 90). The temps in late October and early November are generally much cooler and pleasant (avg high temp near 80). The humidity is usually lower, too!

Yes, we have done the Culinary Adventures in Signature Dining. We were always seated with other guests. I imagine if your party is large enough you might be seated with just your group?

My husband and I have done a few Culinary Adventures in Signature Dining & wine dinners at Disney - we've always been seated with other people. The tables sizes have ranged from 4 people up to 20 depending on the location.

I will actually be solo at that point in my trip, so I'm glad that I would be seated with other guests.

Where did you dine? Was it a good experience overall? Thanks for your input.

The Disney Food Blog has posted a more extensive outline of events. It does mention the Premium Package so I guess those interested will need to wait for Disney's official list.

The Yelloween event is listed under Party for the Senses on Oct 31.

No Sweet Sundays or 3D Dessert Discovery this year?

I'm not familiar with the previous events but I think the "What's Cooking With..." series on Thursdays and Sundays replaces at least the Sweet Sundays aspect. For example, Gale Gand is scheduled 10/16. There were no Sweet Sundays or 3D desserts in the info today.

I having so much fun planning our first visit to FW!!! Finding so much good info here and on other Disney fan sites. Have seen several references to a Festival Marketplace Discovery Passport sounds like this would be an excellent, easy to carry guide that could help keep us organized. Is it possible to get a copy of this BEFORE entering EPCOT? Perhaps as a download/PDF option? Would love to get one as soon as the booths/menus are finalized to help with our planning. Does anyone know?

Thanks!

Can anyone tell me if the menu for last year's Italian Regional Food and Wine Pairing Luncheon changed every week?

We are cruising in October and our first port is Port Canaveral on October 27th. I pretty much gave up on the idea of going to a Disney park for the day because of the cost. We just went last December and already have our next Disney trip booked for May 2016. I just realized that the Food & Wine Festival will be going on and now I'm thinking of heading to Epcot for the day to see what all the fuss is about. I've read such wonderful things about it and I really want to experience it. This is our 10 year anniversary vacation and we are traveling without our 3 children so it seems like a great time to splurge! It's our anniversary after all! My question to all you F&WF lovers out there is this... Would you spend the money and go?? Is it worth it???

Do you guys know whether the menus for the Culinary Adventures in Signature Dining are usually available in advance?
