EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, Sept. 25 - Nov 16 2015

:confused3
The Disney Food Blog has posted a more extensive outline of events. It does mention the Premium Package so I guess those interested will need to wait for Disney's official list.

The Yelloween event is listed under Party for the Senses on Oct 31.

For all you F&W experts, is the F&W tasting Sampler a "good deal"?:confused3 I presume that it is because the entitlements are food and beverage "of your choice"?:confused3TIA!:goodvibes
Pricing: $59, per person, plus tax. Epcot admission required.

My question to all you F&WF lovers out there is this... Would you spend the money and go?? Is it worth it???

Yes, I totally would. Not only is a special occasion for you, but you never know when you will get back for F & W again. You might consider spending some time reviewing the menus (once they come out) before you go, so you have a good idea of what your must-try things are, so you can maximize your indulgences. :)

Am I reading it right that the special events booking date is 7/30 but there is a different booking date for the culinary demos?

Has anyone read anything about the sampler only being available on certain days? I read there are only so many per day, but I wasn't sure if it's only offered on certain days. We leave the 28th, so we've only got opening weekend.

How does the Eat to the Beat Dining Packages work with the DDP? 1 TS credit like Candlelight Dining Package at Cristmas? When and how can you book?

I also have an additional "thought" about the Sampler...If you get the sampler for a certain day, it obviously allows you "priority" seating for the 6:45 Eat to Beat Show AND 8 entitlements for 30 f&w booths..Do you need to use all 8 entitlement in ONE DAY or the leftover entitlements ANOTHER DAY?:confused3 TIA!

I think it varies lets dissect it>>>>

The price range is from $3.50-$8.00 per plate at any given booth. Alcoholic beverages are anywhere from $4-$9 (excluding beer flights and champagne) I don't know if they are excluded I am just assuming they are. So lets take the average of $6.00 for an item and you get 8 items would be $48.00 this is all plus tax. If you count the pin for arguments sake say its $12. you are at $60 and then priority seating to the concert which is nice but there is no cost associated with it. So its no discount plus you get a great pin and if you don't go to the concert you really didn't lose anything you just didn't take advantage of a perk so to speak. I think its worth it

Based of of this if you would like a pin then it would be worth it. If you're not into pins then it probably isn't.

If I purchase Disney GCs through Target can I load them onto the F&W gift card that you wear around your wrist? I see they are re-loadable I'm just looking for anyone who can confirm the Target Disney GCs will load onto them without problems.

Why is the sampler a good deal?

I was looking at pricing from last year. The value of the pretax amount comes out to just over $6 per credit (plus $10 for pin value). So technical you could break even with the 8 items and the pin depending on which samples/booths are included. The seating would be the extra perk. I am planning on doing it for at least one at least one if not both of our full days for the simple fact it would be pre-paid and I would not have to worry about it. 16 credits b/t my DH and I for food and drinks seems like more then enough.

Guess that leads to another question, assuming we (2 adults) are sharing each sample and some drinks(some for ourselves) will 16 credits be enough, too much or just right for an average day?

SO, you are "limited to 30 booths" correct?:confused3 AND if you don't use all 8, if you cannot "carry them" over to the next day:confused3, might not be a good deal, unless you are really wanting priority seating to Eat to the Beat. Will be interested in hearing if you can "carry" any unused sample credits over to another day!
TIA if anyone knows!:goodvibes

If they had runners getting the food and special seating areas, it would seem worth it to me, but it does not as currently configured. Maybe it will attract pin aficionados.

I don't believe you can consolidate any Disney gift cards, and I don't know for sure, but doubt the special bungee F&W cards are any different. Many DIS-ers compile the Target GCs onto the Disney Vacation Account or simply use magic bands for room charging and pay off the account each day (or few days) as you go with the GCs. I wish Disney would allow consolidating gift cards! Please let me know if you find information to the contrary as I would be more likely to do this too!

Have seen several references to a Festival Marketplace Discovery Passport sounds like this would be an excellent, easy to carry guide that could help keep us organized. Is it possible to get a copy of this BEFORE entering EPCOT? Perhaps as a download/PDF option? Would love to get one as soon as the booths/menus are finalized to help with our planning. Does anyone know?

Thanks!

You're right, it is a great way to keep track as a guide and is a fun souvenir! I haven't personally seen a PDF available before-hand, but Disney Food Blog usually posts lists and photos of all the menus as of the first day of the Festival. Last year, I printed those and highlighted the "must try" items. I hope that helps!

"Eight entitlements for food or beverage of your choice at 30 Food and Wine Festival Booths"

I'm sorry to be so thick (this is my first F&W), but is an entitlement like a voucher for one food item at a stall? I was just going to do my own sampler by grazing my way through F&W, but I want to understand what this includes.
