***Epcot Food And Wine Festival Info 2008***

5 minutes to get to the Disney music, 30 mins on hold, but got all 4 reserves I wanted: French Regional Lunches (Bordeaux, Burgundy and Beaujolais) and Todd English Signature Dinner. I prefer the sit down events. If I am going to stand (in line) might as well do it at the World Showcase and pay by the plate/glass. Good luck to the rest of you all.

Just keep track of your confirmation number. If you somehow forget it, and you're staying at a Disney resort, the cast members at the front desk can print your confirmation for you. Otherwise, the Guest Relations at the parks should also be able to do this if you're staying offsite.

When you arrive to the World Showplace (betwen the UK and Canada pavilions), there will be a person checking in all the guests, issuing their wristbands. Just give your name and you'll be ok. But in case they spelled your name wrong or somehow did something wonky like that, the confirmation number will help.

Good advice, Lori. There was a couple in front of us two years ago who were trying to get into the PFTS and the CM could not find their names. The confirmation number was the only reason they finally were admitted because their last name was so botched that they never would have found it in time for the Party!

Please come back with a review of the wine class! We would love to hear. It is the one event we almost booked!

Okay people spill it what did you reserve!;)

The only thing during our stay that I wanted was Kitchens conversations. Called and called and finally got through at 7:43 am, after a bit on hold.

Oct. 9th with Ming Tsai

Hope everyone got what they wanted.

Update: Thought it was too much in one day but hubby talked me into it (we have an early dinner at V&A). We are now going to the French Regional Lunch, Oct. 5- Bordeaux.

That should be a very enjoyable few hours, I would think. Glad you were able to get it booked!

Sorry - none of these are wine classes. I went to Burgundy and Champagne schools in prior years when they were 6 hours and were excellent. Can't speak to the skinnied down versions they have created for this year's event.

OK, it seems many of us are going to the PFTS on October 18. So who is in?

Here I am, chiming in. :)

I'll be at the Burgundy one.

The French Regional Lunches aren't the Wine Schools, but I suppose I'll have to take photos for you Chelsi. ;)

PFTS - 10/25
City Tastes (Taste of Italy) - 10/31 (which is also our 5th wedding anniversary!!)

After 20+ minutes on hold I got through to the nicest CM ... :goodvibes

She told me that I was only her second phone call of the day ... computer was moving really slowly, and after spending another 25 minutes talking with her I'd have to agree. :rotfl2:

BUT ... I was able to book everything we wanted. After much discussion while sitting on airplanes this weekend Jason and I just decided to splurge on this trip (more than usual I mean) and it's his very sweet birthday gift to me. I think he felt a little sorry for me because I hurt my back about 10 days ago and have been hobbling around like a little old lady. :lmao:

Anyhoo... here's what we are doing:

10/11: PFTS
10/12: French Regional Lunch
10/14: Champagne Brunch
10/16: Kitchen Conversations w/Robert Irvine

The brunch was the event that we went back and forth over, and we finally just decided that as weird as it sounded it was something so different from what we could do here at home that we'd go for it. I hope it lives up to the price tag. :scared1: :rotfl2:

And it's a great solid start to the day we'd designated as our quest to Drink Around the World Showcase. :thumbsup2

So, congrats to everyone and good luck to those of you still waiting to get through or to make those phone calls. :goodvibes :grouphug:

I was noticing the same thing. Was about to multi-quote, in fact!

DH and I will be there along with my MIL, whose birthday is that day. The party is a surprise for her! DH and I went a few years ago but she's never been.

Is Brenda still on hold or did we loose her to the Cartoon songs??

How I wish I had not bumped the date up for our annual F&W trek to WDW this year. We have always spent our older DD's birthday (October 23) there for the past 10 years. Since she moved to Boston and our younger DD graduated from college this spring, we decided to make it a trip just for us and took advantage of our APs still being good. I would have loved to have spent time with all of you at the October 18ht PFTS!

The terrific CM I had this morning asked me where I was staying, then suggested that when I check in, I stop by BWV Lobby Concierge and have them print my reservation! :thumbsup2
