Anyone think it would be worth the trouble to hit Epcot EMH morning for a ride (Soarin,FEA or TT) or two then park hop to DHS using the friendship boats?

At DHS I would want to get my kiddos signed up for Jedi Training but would miss rope drop assuredly if I try to hit Soarin, TT or FEA at Epcot. Do you think I could get to DHS in time to get them into a show?

I'm not an expert, but, if Jedi Training is the goal, I think you would want to still make it to HS first. I think the best bet to be sure you get signed up is to be in line a good 30 minutes before HS opens. Doing Epcot first would put you at HS a little too late. Although, I do hear that you could still get signed up as late as 10:30, you wouldn't be as sure as getting there early and you wouldn't have as many times to choose from.

Someone else that has actually done Jedi Training may know better than me. We are planning on doing it for the first time when we go this December. So I've been reading up on it. Good luck!

@Winniebell10 's impressions are pretty much what we experienced just before Spring Break crowds in March. A better plan would be to arrive at DHS no later than 30 min prior to opening. The line will most likely already be moving to allow sign up for JTA, unless something has changed. Some people arrive closer to 1 hour ahead. Choose a mid-afternoon or later JTA show. If you are there early enough, they should give you your choice.

After getting signed up, hop over to Epcot and use a FP for those other rides. Then hop back to DHS.

I realize that negates the idea of using the EMH at Epcot, but you do risk being shut out if you don't get to the JTA sign up within the first hour of park hours.

Here is a run-down of our experience with timing - at the time it was typical.

The entrance to the sign up line is at the Indiana Jones show and winds over to the sign-up and dropoff area at the Indy shop.

We toured Monday (TP says it was a crowd level 8), no EMH. I don't know how early they started the signups, but we were arrived at the end of the line by 8:40. The shows prior to 1:10pm were full by 9am. We got our choice of afternoon shows when we got to the front of the line at 9:15. I would imagine they sold out before 10am, or pretty soon after at least. Can't say for sure.

Be aware that you must have your child with you in the sign up line. It moves pretty slowly. I can't see a good way to do this and rope drop ...
