Epcot Early Entry - Drive or Bus

Hey everyone, we will be staying at AKL - Kidani Village with 2 kids (6 and 4). We'll have a car. Would you recommend driving and parking or taking the Disney bus to Epcot for early entry? If driving, what time should we aim to leave AKL? If bus, what time should we be at the bus stop?

Personally, if we have a vehicle, we drive to all parks except MK. We usually head about an hour before early entry to get to the entrance by the time early entry starts. You'll have to add more time if taking Disney transportation.

Given those options, I'd drive. It's a 10-12 minute drive from Kidani to Epcot parking. I'd be on my way no later than 7:50/8AM. Driving gives you more flexibility and control of your timing.

If you have park hopper and plan on visiting another park after EPCOT, I suggest bus. If EPCOT will be the only park you visit that day, then driving yourself saves time.

Standard parking at the parks is $30 and you only are required to pay for the first park you visit as long as you keep your receipt for the day.

As @sponica posted, parking at the parks is free for on-site guests, and @kiddoc88 is an on-site guest staying a AKL.

What did you end up doing? We are debating the same for a July trip. We are only getting a rental for a few days to look at colleges but could use it to drive to Epcot one day. We’d be looking to rope drop Guardians.
