I finally got a reservation at CRT so am pretty sure I will cancel akershus as that seems like overkill! Lol. Should I book somewhere else? Have never done Epcot so any suggestions are appreciated. Me, DH, inlaws and our three girls all under 7! Thanks

There are so many things to love about Epcot dining!! Where to start.... well, if you are looking for another character meal I would check out the Garden Grill. We have never had a bad meal here and the character interaction is the best anywhere on property. I would also check out Biergarten, Via Napoli, The Rose and Crown and La Hacienda de San Angel. They are some of our favorite places!! It would be really hard to mess up a great meal at Epcot - have fun and good luck picking just one!! :wave2:

EPCOT is hard because there are so MANY choices! We have enjoyed the restaurants we've tried in World Showcase, but I have to say that Coral Reef is emerging as our favorite at EPCOT. We have had some delicious meals there, and the atmosphere is amazing. It's a combo of elegant and cool/fun. We love it!

I agree with PP's recommendations--for a different character meal check out Garden Grill. For something with kid & adult appeal, check out the other TS and decide what matches your family's tastes.

My kids, DH & I loved Teppan Edo in Japan (it's a Japanese steakhouse; we had a great chef who made it really fun for them), Coral Reef (the big aquariums are really cool & we all enjoyed our food--but some people don't love the food here), and San Angel Inn (this one is dimly lit, with the Mayan temple in the background & the water ride going past). We liked other restaurants, too, but wouldn't send you there with young kids. These 3 all have something going on that would distract the kids. Biergarten is on our list for our next Epcot visit, but consider that one, as well.

You know your kids' temperaments and your DH & in-laws' taste in food, so just choose what will work best for everyone.

For quick-service in Epcot definitely check out Sunshine Seasons--it has a good variety of choices and some yummy dessert options.

With the ages in your party I would recommend either Garden Grill, Biergarden or maybe Via Napoli
Have Fun

We loved Via Napoli. We're picky about pizza, and theirs was fantastic. I recommend sitting outside if the weather's nice.

If you like Mexican, San Angel Inn is good, and the kids like the volcano.

Our favorites:

Biergarten (for buffet/music/fun)
Rose & Crown (yummy pub food)
Le Cellier (if you want to splurge)
Les Chefs (we liked it, but that was in 2010 and I haven't read great reviews since then)

We're trying Marrakesh this time, and we want to try someplace in Mexico & Italy.

Even though World Showcase has a lot of great restaurants, our family has always loved Garden Grill, ever since my girls were young.

The food is always good and fresh and brought to the table. Mickey and his gang come by for autographs, and while you eat, the restaurant rotates into the Living with the Land ride. Your little ones will love it! :thumbsup2

Options in Epcot can range from the mundane to the truly adventurous. Can you give us some idea of the types of food that you like or how open you are to trying new things? That might help narrow it down!

Ate at Moroccan pavilion TS in August. From some that has eaten real Moroccan, it was down right terrible. Cuscus was overcooked, Lamb was bone dry and chewy, and the service was slow, rude, and indifferent.

I remember when the restaurants at world showcase were amazing, I have been jaded as of late. We have a ADR for Tutto but are nervous given the last few experiences we have had in Epcot.

Since your girls are young, I would suggest the Garden Grill. It's a character meal and a rotating restaurant! Fun for the kids :) Biergarten is really fun for kids as well, mine love dancing to the band. The coral reef is also one to consider since you can view the aquarium while you dine. If your girls really love princesses, I would consider keeping your ADR at Akershurs. We have eaten at both CRT and Akershus on the same trip a few times, we enjoy it. Have a wonderful vacation!
