Epcot Dessert Buffett ???

A few years ago, we were in Epcot to watch Illuminations and there was a dessert buffet set up. It seemed that people had tickets and were admitted to eat the sweets and watch the fireworks from a fabulous location. I know about the Wishes Dessert Buffet in MK (and I have it booked for our next trip) but I was wondering if there is something similar at Epcot or if that was just something special. It didn't seem to be a private party, which I have seen sometimes. Anyone know if something like this happens?

I'm thinking this must have been a private party (rehearsal dinner or wedding reception dessert party) I have never heard of a ticketed dessert party at Epcot like the one at MK. Unless it's something new. It would be great if they did offer something like that!

They are part of the Grand Gathering Illuminations Dinner. After eating, they escort you over to the dessert buffet to eat and watch the fireworks. We did it a few years back...dinner was so so, and a lot of the desserts were soggy! But hey, we were at Disney with our family, so it was great!
