DH and I are trying to figure out where to eat for our CS in Epcot. We're going to be spending two days at Epcot on our next Disney vacation and are thinking about getting the MYW+Dining package with our resort (Yay Caribbean Beach Resort!!!....or Coronado Springs...). We know for sure that we want to eat at the Biergarten for one of our TS.

So....that leaves 1 TS, 2 CS, and 2 snacks to play with. Any suggestions? We were thinking of doing the 2 lunches at the Yakitori House and Sunshine Seasons and the other dinner at San Angel (not sure about this one b/c DH prefers genuine Mexican food to Tex Mex and is not sure if he will like it). We were thinking about using our snack for at least one day at the Boulangerie Patisserie.

Anybody have any suggestions as to what the best places in Epcot are? Any warnings about the ones we're considering? If you couldn't tell, we can be a bit indecisive at times. :)

Just a thought Tazicket.. How about Chefs de France. It is a great use of your 1TS, a very good value. The food here is fantastic--the service is too. We love this place and plan on eating there our next trip in Dec.

P.S. They serve some of the most delicious desserts in all of WDW. pixiedust:

Rose and Crown is delicious! Tangierine Cafe.... and you can't go wrong with any snack!

Can you use your snack at the bakery in France?? I thought it was only good for things like a Mickey Bar or a bottle of water. I didn't think you could use a snack credit for any of the pastries.

For counter service:
Tangierine Cafe is a favorite of DH. The platters are so HUGE. I like Yakitori house. Other favorites are the one in China and the UK.

For table service:
We have enjoyed Teppanyaki and Tempura Kiku. Also Alfedos and Le Cellier. Rose and Crown was ok for the Illuminations view, but we didn't really enjoy our food. On our next trip, we are going to try Chefs de France and Coral Reef since they are good values on the dining plan and we haven't tried them before.

I have never been to San Angel Inn, but I thought it was more traditional mexican rather than Tex Mex??? Maybe someone who has been there can comment.

I don't want to sound like a food snob, but I really haven't had many "great" meals at Epcot. (However, only one last year at the RC was truly awful.) The only memorable meal we had at Epcot this past year was at Marakesh. Our whole family, including a then 2 and 4 yo, really enjoyed the meal. We can't wait to return in March.

Personally, I prefer the restaurants at the resorts: California Grill, O'Hana, Boma, etc. These meals have been fantastic!

Thanks so much for all of the replies! You guys are very helpful!

In the guide on the Disney website regarding the participating restaurants, it lists the Boulangerie Patisserie as a participating snack vendor for the dining plan. Not sure what exactly we could get there, just know that's what it said. I don't think we could do the Moroccan food as DH is not quite as culinarily adventerous as I. ;) But, that's why we posted the thread. :)

Last time we went to Epcot (my first time there since I was little), we were only there for 1 day and ate at the Biergarten (loved it!!) and had a burger at one of the American places (ok). This time, we decided to branch out a little since we live in America and all. I've heard some great things about Sunshine Seasons and we love Soarin' (got to ride it with the experimental groups last March before it technically opened!) so we're planning on eating there. :woohoo:

I'm hoping that we can find some great places in the world showcase to try out.

Also, what is F&W? Is it food & wine?

Thanks!

Last May, we ate at Sunshine Seasons & really enjoyed it.

I had the rotisserie beef flatbread w/ wild greens, and DH had the rotisserie chicken flatbread w/ wild greens. I also had some really yummy fruit tart/souffle-y thing for dessert, & it was so refreshing! (Obviously, I can't remember the name of it or exactly what it was... :teeth: ... but it was very good!) The restaurant was very crowded though!

This year, we only have 1 full day scheduled in EPCOT, so we're going to try a WS counter for lunch - maybe the France counter for me & something different for DH & the refreshment outpost for the kids...

For TS, we're eating at the Garden Grill (since it's a character meal). The menu looks really good, and I think my kids would like that the restaurant revolves as we eat.

We're also eating dinner one night at San Angel Inn because DH has always wanted to eat there.

But Le Cellier gets rave reviews, so, if we weren't eating at San Angel Inn, I would have tried to get an ADR there.

In December we ate breakfast CS at Boulangerie Patisserie we loved it and you could use your snack there at the time as well. This was one of the best breakfasts we had the whole trip. We had ressies for Chefs but couldn't make those maybe next time. We ate at Nine Dragons but will not do that again. Tasted like fast food yuck.

If you stay at CBR,which I personally liked over CS if you go for a prefered room, eat a Shutters. I thought the food was excellent. CS has a better food court in my opinion but I did not enjoy the TS restaurant-cant remember the name.

What kinds of things could you get for your snack?

We love CBR! We stayed there last year when we took our trip to the World. We considered staying somewhere else this time to try something new, but the pics of the other moderate resorts didn't look as pretty to me. :)

That's good to hear about Shutters, cause I think we're planning to eat there our check-in day for dinner (and then maybe try to track down that volcano dessert thing from the picture thread!) :worship:
