Epcot crowds at night especially for Guardians

Guardians is my absolute FAVORITE ride and I want to do it as many times as possible (I’m going April 28-30). Of course I’ll try to get LL but I’m trying to figure out when the best time of day is to do standby. When I did the DCP 3 years ago I spent lots of evenings in Epcot (mostly since I was blocked out of all the other parks) and it seemed like wait times were very short at the end of the night (Frozen would sometimes be a walk-on). As I’ve been occasionally looking at wait times in the last hour of the day though they seem to be longer than earlier in the day. I’m considering doing Epcot as my last park of the day one day but have the wait times actually been shorter earlier in the day? Or are those posted wait times just super inaccurate? I know it’s also spring break season right now which makes the wait times longer any time of day

It was posted 110 minutes tonight at 7:30 when we exited the ride. Park close was 9:00
Did it actually look like it was 110 minutes though? I’m just wondering if Disney is purposely inflating the posted wait times close to closing because I’ve seen them do that before

They do that but according to thrill data the wait is still pretty long at night. So they're probably juicing it earlier to discourage people from getting in line.

The line was outside and wrapped through that portion of the que. we had lightning lane so not sure what that means for the standby line.
Disney uses a process called Line Stacking to make the lines appear to be longer than they really are in the evening. This is intended to discourage late riders.

Last night about 45 minutes before closing time, the posted wait was 105 with an actual reported wait of 65.

There were no reported waits after that, but the posted wait eventually dropped to 80. Based on recent activity the actual wait was probably about half that.

Just got back and was able to ride it 7 times without paying for it. I found wait times all over the map, so you just need to keep watching it like a hawk. Rode it twice during extended evening hours so that is your best bet if you have a qualifying stay at deluxe resort. I'm sure we could have done it 3 times if we skipped Remy and Luminous during those 2 hours.
