Hi, this may sound stupid ... we are hoping to stay onsite at Beach Club Villas for our first trip. If we wanted to sample some of the counter service options at night from WS section (on a day that we hadn't done Epcot), would we have to have to use a day's pass to gain access to Ep. CS restaurants? (hope this makes sense.)

Thanks

Not stupid at all. :D

Yes, you would need park admission to enter Epcot, even just to eat.
If you have hopper passes and had used them earlier in the day to go to another park, you can get into Epcot at night without using another day on the pass(2 parks in 1 day only counts as 1 day used), but you do need to enter the parks to eat at the restaurants so they require admission.

Yep, Park Hoppers make staying at any of the Epcot area hotels a dream!

It's fun to have a day playing somewhere, then come "home" to your room, freshen up a bit or just rest, then stroll over to World Showcase for dinner.

One of the best counter service places I've found there is in Morocco- terrific lemon chicken and couscous! And I love the Fish and Chips window in the UK, and the counter service cafe in Mexico, and the brats and beer in Germany, and...
