EPCOT changes hours to earlier than usual

Epcot just changed hours for June 5th, it is not opening at 8am with early entry at 7:30am!!!! Does anyone think the early opening has anything to do with Guardians? The other days before that are 10am opening with early entry at 9:30.

I notice it is also closing earlier on that day, at 8pm instead of 9. I would think if GOTG related, they wouldn’t have shortened the evening, but that’s just a guess and I’ve learned I can’t predict WDW at all!

Didn't some executive accidentally leak the opening date as Memorial Day weekend? Would fit with an announcement on Monday - it's what, 8 weeks away?

It certainly could be GotG related - but they've already been opening some days at 8:30 instead of the more normal 9:00, so perhaps it's another 30-minute adjustment for the time of year and crowds. But the timing is interesting!

Wow! We are going the week after Memorial Day. It would be fantastic if GotG is open!!

Epcot is opening earlier around Easter and I don't think they will be doing any GofG stuff then, so not sure it is related.
