EPCOT boats

Hello!

I'm having so much fun planning our itinerary for our upcoming trip!

Does anyone know if the boats that cross the lagoon in the World Showcase will be operational in early December?

I believe that unless the weather is bad, the boats operate year round.

I agree with mickey0216 that the boats run ever day of the year unless there is bad weather.
Let me also add that if you exit Epcot at the International Gateway (near United Kingdom and France) you can take the Friendship boats from there to the Yacht/Beach clubs, the Boardwalk, Swan/Dolphin and then to the Disney Studios. You can also walk this route in maybe 20-30 minutes. It is a nice walk in a really great area. If you are not in a hurry try the boats.

Can you refresh my memory on how the World Showcase lagoon boats work? What points do they go between?

I know we took a boat from the Morocco area to Germany area. We thought we were getting on a boat to go back to FW since we were tired from walking, but it just went from one end of WS to the other so we had to walk the rest of the way around!! Is there a boat that goes from WS to FW? On the map it looks like there are boat launches around Showcase Plaza but if there are boats that go from FW to WS we certainly could not fine them!!

When we were there on 11/3 (oh, to be back there waiting for Illuminations) there seemed to be only one boat running. It was dark and it appeared to be going from Morroco to Germany. I'm not sure if it made a circle around the lagoon or not cause we grew tired of waiting and hoofed it. Not really a time saver but it would be a foot saver if you hit the dock at the right time.

I remember last year taking the Epcot boat (and meeting some other DISers-Hi Samantha!) from Morocco to WS Plaza. I think it was making a round trip-not going to Mexico.

There are 2 boats that cross World Showcase Lagoon.
One boat makes a round trip between Showcase Plaza near Canada to Morocco. The other boat makes a round trip from the Showcase Plaza near Mexico to the area between Italy and Germany.
During non-peak seasons, they often cut down to one boat which makes the circle around WS.

They run either one or two boats depending on the crowd as the previous poster said.

Make sure you read the signs at the docks by FW. The boat CMs will change the destination signs depending on how many boats are operating.

It happens all the time, people getting on the wrong boat because on a previous day they got on the boat and it went to both Morocco and Germany.
