Entertainment card discount for Universal Hotels

HI,
I'm been reading about the entertainment card. Do i have to buy the Orlando book to get the discount on universal hotels or can I buy my local state book? Thank you.

You can buy your local book, but there haven't been any Entertainment Rates in a long time. Don't buy the book if that is the only reason you want it. The rates may never be seen again.

i just tried to reply to this once and it disappeared@@@ anayway, the very best card is the universal annual passholder discounts, buy the annual pass, only the person making the reservations at the universal hotels has to have one, and you get 20% off the shopping in the park and 10 to 15% in the resturants!!!

How much of a discount do you get on hotels with the annual pass? Do I need the pass to make a reservation? Thanks

Not sure, but I believe you receive 30% off resorts...you will need to show your AP at checkin, but make ressie under APH discount code.....this is what I believe...I'm still learning Universal I know someone will correct me if I'm wrong!
