Entering Epcot from Boardwalk villas

I have a question about going to Epcot , is the walk in "back entrance" from the Boardwalk open early mornings?

Yes, this entrance does open in the morning, but you can only walk towards future world until the world showcase opens.

It opens at the same time as the main entrance. Most days you can enter and walk as far as the bridge between England and France. There is a rope and a couple of CMs there who let you in when the park opens for the day.

In my experience, it takes about the same amount of time to get to Soarin' from the IG as it does from the main entrance, perhaps a shade longer. We have been able to get a FP, wait a short time in the standby line to ride and then ride almost immediately again using our FPs. By the time we were done with the second ride, the standby line was 45 minutes or more.

That's been pretty much our experience as well - a shade longer, but really a significant delay unless, perhaps, you are going at a peak time (we always go in October).

If you have a breakfast pre-opening, there will be a CM at the International Gateway with a list. My son and husband were able to enter the park with my daughter and I on our breakfast reservation (she shouldn't have let them in, but she did), so they were actually in Future World when the gates opened.
