Enjoying OKW right now

Hi All,

Having a great time at OKW. We didn't get our room requests totally met even thought I booked at 11 months and checked in at 9 AM. From what I understand, assignments are more or less random!! We are in bldg. 62 bottom floor (requested top). It is fine though. When DH went to check to see if our room was ready at 2 PM, he was told, "Oh, no, they gave the room away that I wanted to give you" (bldg. 64)!! I like to old way of assgning rooms by booking day..............

Everything seems clean and orderily here at OKW,although I am seeing alot more "trash" around the parks then normal!! We have encountered some very rude guests in the parks complaining about E-night lines (I think she got reimbursed), not enough fries with their food at Typhoon Lagoon (he got more free) and waiting for a Mickey Bar in line...........she got hers before me even though I was in front of her!! I have come to realize the the "complainers" truly get catered to here at WDW!!Since it is not in my nature to complain about what I consider "trivial" matters then i guess I will get "less" fries and wait an extra minute for my Mickey bar!! LOL!! E-night wasn't bad and not worth complining in my opinion!!

Plan to chill at the main pool today................I will check in later.

Thanks to all who told me how to connect here. It's great and not as slow as I thought dial upwould be.

Glad you are having a good time. I didn't even make a specific request for our upcoming trip given the fact that it seems no one gets them any way. We decided to just take our chances. We had a 1st floor room once and liked it for the lack of stairs. We were lucky to not have noisy ones above us though. My only concern is usually to have the second entrance to the bathroom from the laundry.

you are so sweet - I have been know to "accidentally" step on people feet when they break in line in front of me - oh I am not a light weight. I also have a tendency to ask in a very loud voice "what do you think you are doing"

hey if they are being rude to me - I think they deserved to be rude right back - besides - you are warning everyone else to watch out for this person!!!

if they got away with it once - believe me they will try it again!

Hi Rosemary,
I just sent you a PM ... totally unrelated to Disney...has to do with your name.

I know what you mean about rude people. When we were there in June, my youngest daughter and her friend decided that they wanted to get autographs. They are both 15 and probably too old for that stuff, but they were having a good time! We were on Main Street waiting in line with everyone else to see one of the characters (can't remember which one). Just as the people in front of the girls were moving up to get their pictures taken, the "handler" told the line that the character had to go in, but that Max would take his place. The girls were disappointed because whatever character it was, it was one of the main ones that they really wanted the autograph of. But they accepted it without any problem. While the people in front of them were finishing up with the character, a man and his little girl (around 4 years old) come running from the back of the line and push my girls out of the way. The man starts saying "Please let us have our picture taken before he leaves." Well, the handler didn't realize that this man had just cut in front of about 20 people and says "sure". I immediately informed her that he had just cut in front of everyone, so she tried to stop the man from getting his pictures. He just grinned at her and the rest of the line, took his picture, and walked away. What a terrible example he set for his daughter!
