Our daughter called home to inform us that a few minutes after midnight on NYE in EPCOT she became engaged. They had been watching illuminations when her boyfriend got done on one knee and gave her a box. It had a Mickey & Minnie bride and groom and a ring. There were a lot of people around them. Her sister and friend were there to witness it and take pictures. Did anyone happen to see this? If so, please let me know. We were back home in Kansas while they were having all the fun. Now we get to plan the wedding. :earsgirl: :earsboy:

No, I was not there to see it, but I have to say "Congratulations!!" You must be so excited! Have fun planning the wedding. :sunny:

Congrats! Although I did not see the proposal you speak of, we saw two proposals during our dinner on NYE in the Castle. Disney is so magical!

You know what I love about this post??? That parents seem to be excited that their daughter got engaged. Tell her congrats from the DIS family too.

And tell your daughter's fiancee-he is a keeper
Alas, I wasn't there to see but I wish I was, sounds so very romantic. I get to witness a proposal at Chef De France a few years back and it was so sweet.

We were fortunate enough to be at WDW 2 years ago when our daughter was proposed to at the MK. Had tears in our eyes, filmed the whole deal and then, future son in law, was all nerves all day while we walked around the park waiting for the time when our daughter and him met, got down on one knee and popped the question and the ring. This passed October was the wedding in Ohio and after the wedding, wife and I took our trip to Disney and meet them there after their 7 day honeymoon cruise for a week of unwinding and relaxing fun time. Guess you can tell we're a Disney family, daughter met hubby at Disney during her College intern program, which she really enjoyed and returned to OSU to finish her degree and we still plan our vacations to WDW together. We feel blessed to be included in their vacations now that the Golden Years are upon us, always keep the Disney fires burning.

Thank you for that story-that's awesome.
Great to have family to share the joy of WDW with.

How sweet. I wasn't there, but I think that is so awesome. Now how about a Disney Wedding.

That's so exciting!!! I got engaged behind the Castle during MVMCP two years ago and every time I go back I always visit the exact spot where it happened. For a Disney family, you can't get a more perfect proposal than WDW. :) Many congrats to her and her DFI!!!

two days before Christmas we saw a Proposal at the Tarsan rocks show the first one of the day it was so cool it was one of the cast one of the monkey rollarbladers. Thier were a million flashes. the Girl was sitting in a special roped off area so we knew something was up when we saw the ropes but it was so special. reminded me of when my DH Proposed been married since July and I wish your daughter all the best Congrats
