Endoscopy AND Colonoscopy SAME TIME

I had them both done at the same time a few years ago and it went fine. At my doctor's office, they call it "The Spin" because they spin the table around when they're done at one end. I just told my doctor to make sure if he started "south" that he change scopes!!!!!

I had polyps in my colon and in my stomach. They cut them out of my colon but only removed one in my stomach because they were the type that will bleed heavily (called "hyperplastic polyps").

I agree with stargrazer -- the clean out is far worse than the procedure!!!!

You should do fine....good luck with it!

I had one a few years back...my GI calls it a Flip Flop. Waiting for the labs to test for celiac disease now...then back for another flip flop. I have colitis, but symptoms have changed and they are questioning celiac.... It wasn't bad at all. It's just the prep that kills me...

I was knocked out for the flip flop. I had my 1st colonoscopy at 25(after putting it off for several years after sigmoid)..they started to just sedate me, but it wasn't helping and they knocked me out. When they did the flip flop, they told me they were just going to knock me out. I remember nothing!! Hopefully they'll do the same thing this time and I'm going to ask about the pills for prep vs the liquid. I actually didn't get it all down last time...well..I got it down, but it didn't stay down.
