As a very new DVC member, I am having my membership taken out of my checking account monthly. My question is does DVC give a yearly accounting of what you paid, what is still due, etc.?

Any information will be much appreciated!

They just take the yearly amound, divided by 12 and take out that amount each month. In a couple of months, you will get a letter that says how much they will take out next year. There will be no lump sum to pay in Dec. On new purchases, they generally just charge you the prorated portion for the remainder of the year. You should not have any surprises.

I'm not sure if you're referring to your "dues," or your "loan payments."

Dean is exactly right on the dues. If you were referring to your loan payments, there is no such statement provided. At least there wasn't when I still had a balance with them...

If you are talking about loan payments, you will receive a 1099 - usually after the 1st of the year.

There won't be a summary of balance due, but that can be obtained from MS/Member Accounting with a phone call.

Maybe I had my blinders on, when I read the post, I only was thinking about dues.

Wow!
Thank you everyone for all the information! I knew that the DVC members were wonderful but wow!

You answered all my questions and I wish I had more but maybe later!!!!!!

Thanks again!
Rae
