Hi All,

Just wondered what the crowds will be like around 26th Nov - 10th Dec? We are thinking of booking and have never been around this time of year before. We went to MNSSHP last year early Sept and loved the crowd level and Halloween shows.

When are the best times to go? :confused3

Anybody else go this time of year? What are your experiences?

Thanks

Nicci

NNNOOOO Nicci Not then!
A very busy time! too many people, too crowded, nothing to see or do.
I wouldn't go at that time!
think again!
(Right, thats another family put off, less people around then :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)

OK, Ok, the truth :goodvibes
Its one of the quieter times, though not as quiet as it used to be.
Weather is great, can be 30 deg in the day, personally I do not find it too chilly in the evenings, but some do so take a light cardy with you.
All the Christmas decorations go up on Thanksgiving (thursday 26th) so the parks are pretty, plus the Osboiourne family lights, the Snow displays at Celebration and ICE! at gaylord palms hotel complex. The store have their Tahanksgiving sales on and its very Chrismassy

November 26th is Thanksgiving this year. After Christmas and Easter, that's the busiest period of all at WDW and you can expect the place to be mobbed right through that weekend. From the Monday, though, the crowds will thin significantly and the second of those weeks is likely to be one of the quietest.

Thanks Deb.

Other dates we are considering now are 9th Dec - 26th Dec yes I know the week before christmas will be probably swamped?

:)

We have been to WDW for the two weeks leading up to Xmas every year for the last 6 years.

The crowds in the first half of our vacation are almost non-existent. You can walk on to almost everything, or wait a maximum 20 mins. The second week - leading up to Xmas day, the parks fill up a lot, and by a couple of days before Xmas the place is heaving with people.

Also beware that one weekend in early December they always film the Christmas Day parade in Magic Kingdom (normally the first weekend of Dec) for one of the major TV networks. That weekend is NOT a good time to be in MK. We accidentally went one year, not knowing this happened and it was the worst day I ever spent at WDW - we went back to our resort after a couple of hours!

This time of year can be hot or cold - last year was hot and we spent most mornings by the pool sunning ourselves and swimming. Other years we have bundled up in jumpers, scarves and gloves. I remember leaving Universal one year because I was so cold I couldn't walk anymore! So take a range of clothing with you :-)

Thanks Miranda really appreciate all the information.

Well we've finally booked leaving on 9th December and coming back on 26th :banana::banana::banana: so we are going even longer that I expected and its also dare I say it my big 30 while we are there.

Right need to start planning now :)
