Hi,

My family is planning on going to Disney Nov. 29th (Sat. after Thanksgiving ) for 5 nights.

Is this a busy time with the holiday week? Should we wait a day or two before heading down?

Thanks so much.
Ashley

Ashley,

Do you have reservations yet? We are staying at the WL over Thanksgiving and leaving on the Monday. If you can wait a day or two, I would. Do you have Ap's? You only need one adult one to get the great Ap rates. There may be AAA rates available. This would be the PERFECT week to go, as Thanksgiving crowds are gone and the Pop Warner kids don't arrive until the next week.

The decorations are up and all the holiday festivities are going on.
You may want to make PS arrangements as you will soon be 90 days out.
What about doing MVMCP or the CP dinner package at epcot?

You will have a wonderful time!!!

We are considering changing to this time because it appears mid- November is too full. We have been there a few times then, it was very nice to see the Christmas decor without the crowds. I would try to wait the day or two, if you can, to let the crowds thin out. There are some that will be staying for an extended weekend. Have fun!

Saturday and Sunday will be a madhouse in the parks. Things may calm down a little Sunday night. It would be best to wait until Monday if you can, especially if you are planning on flying. Airfares will be very expensive, plus that Sunday is one of the busiest days of the year in the airports.

The week after Thanksgiving is wonderful in the parks. They'll have the Christmas decorations but it won't be too crowded.

We used to fly down the Saturday after Thanksgiving and stay off site. That Sunday morning we'd check in and start our package. It was a wonderful time to go. No crowds and back then all the Christmas decoration would go up over night during that week. It was so magical! Of course these days they go up gradually during November. In those days that Sunday morning wasn't crowded at all in the MK as everyone was leaving.

When our last finishes college...she's still in high school now...I'm sure we'll go back to that week. It's great. Enjoy!

The Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend isn't too bad - especially if you're at Epcot. I love going the week after Thanksgiving. This year a LOT of Disney fans from various internet sites will gather at WDW. Dec. 5-8 for MOUSEFEST: http://wdwig.com/mousefest.htm
