Vacation, vacation, vacation! Already went through this scenario before. Luckily didn't have to put the plan into action. But would take a set amount of money & see how far & long that would take us to see the world. By having a set dollar amount I wouldn't feel guilty about leaving my family broke.
OP what would you do?
I'm the OP. Autoimmune disease runs in my family, and I have been having a lot of problems this year. Since I started this year in the ICU while my husband went home and waited for the call that I had died, which he assumed would come before sunrise, this is something that I have thought about.
I am not a real "stuff" sort of person. Stuff just clutters up the house until it gets thrown out in a couple of years. If I could spend any way that I chose, it would be on little trips. I don't see myself taking a grand tour of the world. In fact, I am amazed at the number of people who go to only Europe and try to squeeze it all in in a couple of weeks. That's too much. It would not be at all hard to spend a couple of weeks just doing nearly everything at Disney World.
If I stayed in northern California for my trip, I would take a ride on the Wine Train. I don't even drink and am still fascinated by that train and think that Napa and Sonoma are lovely areas. It has been years since I last went to the Wine Country, but I would probably be up there more if I could drive.
If I went to the southern part of the state, I would go to the San Diego Zoo. It sounds really wonderful.
I haven't the money, or even a passport, so international travel is not something that I see myself doing. However, I think that I might go to other states. I would like to take that train that goes through the Grand Canyon. Can you tell that I love trains?
