Ok - I know alot of people (my entire family included) feel the Tiki Room is old, corny and silly (even under "New Management"), but I refuse to apologize for my attraction to it. I don't see many threads in here about the Tiki Room, so I started this one to show solidarity with the Birds!! :thumbsup2

If you like the Room, please post so I can show my family I'm not the only one!

Thanks!!

There's a reason I chose the screen name Tikigoddess and it has nothing to do with torches. I love the Tiki Room. I consider it a classic even under new management. Not everything has to be super high tech to be entertaining. I am all about presenting a united front of love for those birds! :thumbsup2

Ever since my first trip to WDW i thought the TikiRoom was cool.I was sitting next to the totm poles and didnt know they sang and almost soiled myself when they did it scared me so much!!!!
I havent found the time in a busy park schedule to see it recently, but plan to when we go in January.
It may be old corny and cheesy, but it can't be any worse than the Jungle Cruise!!!!!!!!!!!

I actually like it better under new managment! I know most would disagree but i think it id more fun for kids, adds some Disney charaters to it, and doesn't completely chnage the attraction. I make sure to go once a trip. It is a nice, cool, relaxing attraction!

My family loves the show....even though it's pretty much been the same show since I was a little kid! My DD (7) asks to see it every time we go!

The Tiki Room is a must see for me! I liked it better before the New Management came along, but I still enjoy it.

DW is addicted to the tiki room. We can't go to the MK without going there. All I have to do is say something about it and she sings the tiki song until I about go insane. I like it as well but not that much. It started on our Disneymoon in '92 and almost 15 years later, she still does it. But I love her anyway so I guess she can do it.

I love the Tiki room. It is great. WDW wouldn't be the same without it. It is a must see on our list. :thumbsup2

I love the Tiki Room and visit every trip and sometimes even twice. I love looking at all the detail in everything! This is a classic Disney attraction.

I love the Tiki Room!! And I got to go to DL this spring so I got to see the orginal version again :cloud9: And I have to a little story-There was a little boy in the attaction with us about 2 1/2 he had a ball in the Tiki Room He giggled, laughed & oohed alot. it was the best moment of the whole trip.

I love the Tiki Room! I miss the old one . . . but I take comfort knowing it still lives in Anaheim. :sunny:

There's a dance version of "In the Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Room" song on one of the new Disney Archives CDs.

In the Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Room
In the Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Room
All the birds sing words and the flowers croon
When you do the macarena in the Tiki Room.

DD10 and I completely lost it over that . . . we had to go look up the macarena instructions and then dance around the kitchen for a while. :lmao:

We love the Tiki room! My whole family loves it from my 70 year old mom, my 12 year old son, my 4 year old little girl and everyone else in between. We never miss this show and always make time for it! :earsgirl: ::MinnieMo :car:

I love it too. I prefer the original, but as long as the storm comes and the tikis chant, I'm good.:earsboy:

You know what? this is one thing I have never done! but I will make sure to do it this trip. :thumbsup2

Still one of our favorites and must dos. Thought it was great back in 1977, first time in we were watching the show and it started to rain, storm and thunder. Thought, there goes our vacation. Little did I know it was just the theatrics inside the attraction, really cool.

I love it. And, when I ask my DS what one of his favorite things was...he always says the Tiki Room!

I like it. DMIL really enjoyed it when we took her to WDW for the first time last year. Have you ever stayed until the very end? One of the birds says to another something like, "I'm tired. I think I'll go over to the Hall of Presidents to take a nap." I stayed to hear that once, and thought it was so cute!

My husband loves the Tiki Room, although it is not my favorite, it is a classic and a must see for all of our trips. I am glad to see so many fans, I thought he was just weird!!!
